My daily update! #ukrdailyupdate

If you would like to view the map: google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
The Kharkiv area (I'm including the version of the map nobody likes because I think it is easier to understand): Putin has ordered the Russian army to capture all of Kharkiv Oblast. Russia also fired a lot of missiles into Kharkiv, targeting both industrial and residential areas.
There is talk that Russia captured Dementiivka (1), but the geolocated videos I have seen are more or less in territory I knew Russia already controlled. Nevertheless, I have changed the town to gray area.
Today Ukraine heavily shelled the area around Kozacha Lopan, including the area north east of Udy and the areas near Sosnivka.
South east of Kharkiv, I read a report that Russia fired artillery into the town of Chkalovske. The report may not be reliable, and it is possible I misinterpreted, but this town is interesting because recently Ukraine published a video of destroying Russian forces a few km north
The Slovyansk area is more or less status quo. Massive shelling around Krasnopillya, Dolyna, and Bohorodychne. There are rumors that Ukraine launched a counter attack into Bohorodychne (2) but I am seeking confirmation before updating the map.
The Siversk area is controversial. The Russian sources are claiming vastly more successful offensive pushes than I see evidence for. The claim total control over Bilohorivka, but I see evidence of Ukrainians still fighting there.
Russians claim total control over Hryhorivka, but I see evidence that their attempts to enter the town are getting repelled (3). The lesser of the Russian sources claim they control Verkhnokamyanske, but even the better Russian sources claim there is still major fighting (4).
I do see evidence of Russian advance near Spirne, where I once believed the town might still be contested, I am seeing more evidence of fighting taking place between Spirne and Ivano-Darivka (5).
The Russian attack into Berestove appeared to have ended in dismal failure today (6). The stories I have heard about their situation were incredibly dire, but I have talked around and it may be that the stories were fabricated so I will hold off talking about it unless confirmed.
Russia also tried to attack Bilohorivka (7) and Yakolivka (8) but were repelled with heavy losses. One thing I feel confident saying, though, is that Ukrainian artillery in this area has been relentless, accurate, and decisive.
South of Bakhmut the Russians tried to take control over Novoluhanske, but their overly aggressive attack led to failure (9). Russia probably also tried to attack Vershyna and the Vuhlehirska power plant, but I didn't read any news about it.
A few km to the west, Russia launched a series of missile strikes into Toretsk and Zalizne, damaging a school, residential houses, etc.
The Avdiivka/New York area: Ukraine is really pounding Russians in this area with artillery, especially around Kamyanka where Ukraine is halting a Russian offensive with heavy artillery barrages.
South of Donetsk, there is heavy fighting in Marinka (10) where Russians are trying very hard to take the town for some reason. Last night they drenched Marinka with incendiary rounds. I've been asked what that means: the shells drop really hot stuff that lights things on fire.
Russia is attacking towards Novomykhailivka, but from the artillery hits and the previous days attacks towards Vodyane make me believe this attack is from from the south east on this weird angle (11). Russians tried to attack Pavlivka from Yehorivka (12) but were repelled.
Both Russia and Ukraine are shelling Volodymyrivka, which is exciting, perhaps the town might heat up as another point of conflict the way Vuhledar did a few weeks ago prior to Ukraine capturing Pavlivka.
Ukraine capturing Volodymyrivka could hint towards a larger attack towards Volnovakha, which is a Russian logistics hub. Speaking of which, take a look at all of the towns down river from Volnovakha, Ukraine is firing loads of artillery into all of them.
Before I move on from this greater Donetsk area, take a look at these ammunition depots Ukraine destroyed today.
They got one south of Melitopol, too.
And three around Kherson. One of which was at that military airport I've been waiting for them to bomb! And this is the second bombing there, I think.
Beyond this, I do not believe I have much more to say. The area around Hulyaipole, Orikhiv, and Kamyanske is more or less status quo. Heavy shelling. I've heard Ukrainian artillery have a slight upper hand in quality and are slowly winning the artillery duel.
I've also heard about Ukrainian special forces blowing things up behind enemy lines around Zaporizhzhia, but no details. Just vague hints at things happening. Russia is deploying more heavy equipment near the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant.
In the Kherson/Mykolaiv/Kryvyi Rih area I have no real news. I heard that Ukraine launched a large artillery strike on Snihurivka. Other than that, just more or less normal. Russia fired a load more missiles into Mykolaiv, targeting various industrial areas and residential areas.
In the past hour or two, Russia has launched even more missiles into Mykolaiv, and I have heard preliminary reports claiming the damage is bad, but I have been writing this so I haven't read much.

One last note, in Alchevsk a Russian with a manpad shot down a Russian plane.

My daily update. It is very short today because I have stuff to do tonight. #ukrdailyupdate

Here is a link to the map, I encourage you to use it. The numbers have the text of this update. google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
Kharkiv area: Russian forces are very interested in capturing Udy, and today they sent a recon team towards the town, which was destroyed (1). I think Russia just wants to push Ukrainian forces further away from the border. ImageImage
South of Kharkiv: Russian forces tried to attack Husarivka using air and artillery support (2), but the attack was repelled by Ukrainian artillery fire. I thought Ukraine held Bairak, but this attack towards Husarivka shows otherwise. Unless the attack came from Nova Husarivka. ImageImage

Ukraine’s plan to attack Kherson is pretty obvious. There are two major bridges to the city (white), and two smaller, minor bridges (red). Ukraine aims to threaten and/or destroy the two white bridges. Today they shelled one of them. Image
If one bridge is gone, when the second gets threatened Russia risks having all of their forces in the city totally cut off. You can cross those red bridges, but they are vulnerable to Ukrainian attack. ESPECIALLY if Ukraine captures Snihurivka. Image
Reading the tea leaves, I think Ukraine will launch an attack up north first (first image). Russia will try to stop this advance and build a defensive line that is out of howitzer range of the Kakhovka HPP. Image

The Kharkiv area: Today Ukraine announced a successful operation in Dementiivka where they destroyed a platoon of Russian marine special forces (1). It is unclear who controls the town, or when this attack happened. For more info: Image
The Barvinkove/Slovyansk area: Ukraine repelled an attack towards Dmytrivka (2), but it is unclear which angle the attack came from. It could have from from the north, as depicted, or possibly from the east. Image

In Dementiivka Ukraine performed a special operation that killed 36 russian soldiers, wounded dozens more, they captured the leader (who was a Ukrainian traitor), and a bunch of equipment including some nice expensive optics.

My daily update? #ukrdailupdate

Not very much is happening so I am just showing the changes to my map. To see the map, here is the link: google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
First, the Dibrovne/Kurulka area: There were rumors that Russia attacked and perhaps captured Kurulka recently, but that claim went contrary to all evidence and information I have available to me so I have decided to reverse that map change and make Dibrovne a gray area.
The Vuhlehirska power plant area: I updated Russian control to be closer to plant (1,2). I know Russia controls intersection of E40 highway (3) but I don't know of any Russian gained territory to the west from there. I updated the Ukrainian line of control in Novoluhanske (4).

Kinda a halfassed daily update today because I'm busy with other stuff. If you would like to view the map, here is the link: google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
I spent a bunch of time today trying to find where artillery is landing around Kharkiv. Just in the front lines, I ignored the city and the more rear areas. There were some areas that had, ahem, clouds. So.
I did the same around the Slovyansk area. All the areas that didn't have clouds, anyway. Russia is trying to establish total control over Bohorodychne, but they have been unable to achieve this.
