Welcome! We hope you are enjoying “living with the virus”. Yes, you may have COVID for the 3rd time, unable to get medical care, facing delays traveling, or missing personnel. But now you can go through all this without having to wear a mask! Yay!
2
Unfortunately, we are in yet another wave, immunity doesn’t last, COVID is still not quite the flu, & it may ruin your health for months. We did not quite expect to be at this point right now, but we DID work very hard, & we are here to remind you of that.
3
Several months ago, we put the virus on notice that we were going to treat it like a mild endemic seasonal disease, given our urgency to go back to normal. Then, we reduced testing & stats, and shortened isolation.
4
We had already spread the information that children don’t get infected, or maybe they do but they don’t transmit, or maybe they do but don’t get very sick – and those who do had a pre-existing problem. We also began using calming terms, like uptick instead of surge.
5
We came up with the brand new concepts of immunity debt (caused by lockdown, to be avoided forever more), & hybrid immunity, where you get vaccinated & then infected as many times as it takes to become immune (or, occasionally, dead).
6
We even taught you the proper use of prepositions for COVID-related hospitalizations & deaths (always use “with” rather than “for” or “of”) & we identified new indicators that would allow us to delay any response for as long as possible.
7
We transformed our outdated public health into individualized public health, where you apply personal responsibility based on your own risk tolerance (while we still get paid). Sure, it's nonsense, & the responsible share air with the non-responsible, but that's life....
8
We also stopped naming variants, so we just have Omicron BA.bunch-of-numbers (though we'd have preferred to name the lot “mild & milder” & be done with it). Throughout all this, we also carefully avoided warning people about long COVID or any other long-term health issue.
9
What more could we do? After all that, nobody could have predicted this…. Well, except for the usual zealots, of course, but who listens to them? People need hope & positivity, not endless doom & gloom. What? You expected us to base decisions on science & reality?
10
Ah, that's a quaint notion…. If we went by science & reality, many would be mad at us, & we’ve got donors to please & elections to win. (Well, our bosses do, but they pay our salary.) Anyway, people can’t even agree on what’s real anymore....🤷‍♂️
11
In addition, we’ve got to meet people where they are, as we do for… ehm, nothing else, really…. Anyway, controlling COVID would have meant spending tons of money & being unpopular, while hoping for things to go well on their own was a lot easier & cheap.
12
Now, we’re invested in this strategy & we won’t backtrack unless things get a lot worse, as we’d look like idiots (& our polls say people are done with COVID). Besides, there’s a good chance that the latest Omicron is so infectious that it will finally burn itself out….
13
Till then, enjoy the silver linings. In addition to repeated infections as a way to avoid infection, in these troubled times, COVID brain fog is better than a vacation.... With our approach, you are pretty sure to get a much deserved break for free. You’re welcome!😉

Welcome! You may wonder why we are having an emergency press conference when the health emergency is over. Well, as COVID cases are spiking again, we thought you’d like some reassurance that we won't be taking any action.
2
As you know, public health has changed. We let go of the old-fashioned idea of protecting the health of the public in favor of a leaner approach that's much more attuned to modern societal values.
(Yes, we are doubly happy to have put COVID behind us 😏)
3
We’ll no longer limit your freedom to infect yourself & others (especially as we get closer to elections). Indeed, we encourage you to seek and maintain that desirable hybrid immunity….

Welcome. This is not a COVID update as, happily, we have happily put that behind us. Instead, we are excited to inform you about the public health revolution triggered by this pandemic.
1
When the virus refused our herd immunity deal, we turned to the weakest link in the equation. You, the public, wouldn’t accept that pre-2020 life was over & kept having tantrums about the slightest measure. Thus, we declared COVID over & you happily went along.
2
Of course, it took work. Carefully crafted messaging (ah, our priceless “learning to live with the virus” refrain), gradually removing testing, data, and measures -till only a few holdouts remain. But they don’t stand a chance.

Welcome again! Following our latest COVID briefing, we are proud to showcase the best of our 2022 official COVID catalog.

1
Living with the virus: Our undisputed bestseller since 2021. No description needed. So good that people keep buying without quite knowing what it is….
2
Mild COVID: Best deal. Sold everywhere. Yours for a few sniffles and 5 days of your time.

Disclaimers: Mildness not guaranteed. Paid sick leave also not guaranteed. In rare instances, long-term health issues (e.g., brain fog & crushing fatigue) may ensue. All sales final.
3
Vaccine: Highly recommended. After the initial 2 shots, you may get an extra one every 4-6 months.
Note: We still sell only the 2020 model. Although it is somewhat outdated, you can alternate it with mild COVID to keep your hybrid immunity current.

Welcome to the COVID chronicles, “straight talk” edition. We are delighted that so many of you have taken advantage of our innovative “assess your own risk” pandemic approach to determine that COVID is right for you.
2
As you know, we no longer manage the pandemic – you do (but we still get paid for it). Are you wondering how we expect regular people to effectively determine their risk with virtually no information in an airborne pandemic? But we don’t, of course....
3
You think we are unaware of those who did their own research & concluded there was no pandemic? Or of those who wrote about their fear of being inoculated with a microchip on a device that tracks everything they do, so they could post it on sites that also track them?

Welcome to our special COVID briefing. In the spirit of transparency that has characterized our communications throughout this emergency, we wish to address a few lingering misconceptions & misunderstandings.
2
When we say that “we must learn to live with the virus”, we do not mean that we will learn about COVID and act upon it🤣. We just mean that we must get used to high rates of death & disability. (And, by “we”, we mostly mean “you”.)
3
But no worries.... The vaccines have defanged the virus. Yes, vaccinated people can get sick but, in most cases, the infection is going to be so mild that you won't end up in the hospital. Indeed, you can back to work after 5 days!

Welcome to our latest COVID update. We are pleased to announce that we are in the post-pandemic, quasi-endemic phase. What? Yes, we already announced this a few months ago, but this time is for real, as our... ehm, many respected scientists keep telling you.
2
Before we get to the exciting news, we have a few announcements and, uh, recommendations. As the COVID situation has evolved, so has our language, and it is your responsibility to understand our communications.
3
For example, by "mild", we mean any case that does not cause many people at once to die or end up in the ICU because *of* COVID. (Note: it's still mild if some people die of it, or if many die later because of something COVID did to them. Long COVID? Still mild)
