A brief thread on how Leftist misinformation spreads. The media has been claiming for months that there is a rise in "anti-LGBT" violence. They use this to justify banning terms like "groomer," claiming that such labels fuel attacks. But where is the evidence of this epidemic?
The evidence doesn't exist because the epidemic is a total fabrication. Let's follow along to see how it works. This article in the @dailydot is typical. It calls for a "groomer" ban, connecting it to an "escalation" in "hateful attacks on LGBT people." Image
But where is the evidence? They link to a Washington Post article that claims a "surge" in anti-LGBT "threats and violence." But where do they get this from? WaPo cites "extremism trackers," linking to something called the The Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project Image
WaPo points us to this "fact sheet" from ACLED, which does not claim a stark rise in violence but rather in "mobilization," which is not the same thing. Already we see how the game of telephone works. "Mobilization" becomes "threats" becomes "hateful attacks." Image
But what counts as "mobilization"? ACLED says that any demonstration -- including peaceful ones -- count if they judge it to be "anti-LGBT." Also, passing out flyers. ACLED admits that nearly 90 percent of the "mobilization" consists of demonstrations and flyers. Image
Just like that, people peacefully handing out flyers or holding signs get counted as violent, hateful attackers.
These are the kinds of tricks the media and LGBT activists (but I repeat myself) are always pulling. After all these are the people who invented out of whole cloth an epidemic of anti-trans murders. No such epidemic exists.

thefederalist.com/2019/11/04/the…
The media fabricates the anti-trans murder epidemic by lumping every murder of a trans person together and assuming from the outset that they're all hate crimes. According to the media, no trans person has ever been murdered except as a hate crime.
In conclusion, these people lie about everything, all the time. Never believe a word they say.

Some thoughts on this Amber Rose thing, since it’s apparently extremely controversial to say that the Republicans shouldn’t give a prime time convention speaking slot to one of the founders of the Slut Walk:

First of all, maybe Rose has totally changed and had some kind of conversion experience. There’s no evidence of that. Only that she likes Donald Trump now. There are many many many examples of conservatives rallying around their new celebrity hero just because the person likes Trump, only to be humiliated and betrayed by that same person shortly after. This has happened countless times. I’ve called it ahead of time in nearly every case and been screamed at by conservatives the way you all are screaming at me now. Hopefully this is the first time I’ll be wrong about something likely this but I highly doubt it.

Second, even if there has been some kind of conversion, that doesn’t mean you take someone who has been a conservative for 42 seconds and turn them into a mouthpiece for your movement. Again: HOW MANY TIMES DO WE NEED TO LEARN THIS LESSON? A person who has been wrong about everything up until approximately yesterday morning needs to be learning and listening, not giving prime time speeches at a political convention.

Third, just to give you an idea of how new Rose’s conversion is — if there has been one at all — it was just this past March that she praised the Satanic Temple for “helping a lot of people” by making sure they can get abortions. That was March. Of this year. She has not even pretended to disavow that point of view, or any of her far left views, apart from her dislike of Trump. If it is outrageous and offensive to suggest that a person such as this is perhaps not fit to be a prime time Republican speaker, then conservatism as a movement is in even worse shape than I thought.

In conclusion: come on, guys. What the hell.
The evolution from new conservative to conservative thought leader takes about 12 hours these days. I am merely suggesting that perhaps it should be a bit longer than that. I have the entire modern history of the conservative movement as evidence to support my position.
If a prime time speaking slot at the Republican convention does not count as being presented as a thought leader then what the hell does?

I’m fine talking about this but the intentional obtuseness is a bit annoying.

1/ In the late 1990s, Christian families in the small town of Possum Trot, TX, adopted 77 children from the foster-care system. It was a heroic effort by a small church community. Today, leftists are trying to stop Christians from saving more children: Image
2/ Unsurprisingly, children in foster care are more likely to identify as trans. It shouldn’t shock anyone that children who have faced abuse, trauma, and unstable families are more likely to be confused about their identity and looking for belonging wherever they can find it. Image
3/ Christian families who feel a call to foster or adopt should be celebrated and supported. Instead, many states are demanding Christians agree to chemically castrate and sterilize gender-confused kids in order to foster any child in the system.

1/ NEW: The Biden admin just told the Supreme Court that the American Medical Association recognizes WPATH’s “Standards of Care” as the “consensus” in so-called trans medicine. But in a now unsealed 2022 email, the AMA doesn’t endorse, or seem eager to “support,” those standards. Image
2/ Here’s the Biden DOJ telling the Supreme Court that the AMA “recognize[s] those guidelines as reflecting the consensus of the medical communities on the appropriate treatment for gender dysphoria.” This is part of the DOJ’s attack on Tennessee's law banning child mutilation.

3/ It doesn’t seem like WPATH is very fond of the AMA’s distancing. In this email obtained by @LeorSapir, then-WPATH President Walter Bouman reacted to the AMA’s rejection, referring to them as “probably some white cisgender heterosexual hillbillies from nowhere.” Image

1/ EXCLUSIVE: The Daily Wire has obtained materials written by the trans shooter who killed six people at a Christian school in Nashville. The writings — concealed for over a year — reveal the shooter’s anti-Christian, pro-trans, and perverse ideas in the weeks before the attack.
2/ In one passage, the shooter rails against “Christian friends” that her parents have encouraged her to make. She writes, “Parents actually believe religion can change nature. That could explain why I don’t practice religion anymore. Let kids think for themselves.” Image
3/ The shooter, a cognitively impaired and mentally ill 28-year-old woman, at times still frames herself as a child in her writing, saying “kids are not robots, we are the future!” Image

1/ A day after Ms. Rachel told her audience she didn’t care if they opposed her “Pride” post, her sidekick — a “they/them” named Jules — performed at the “Queer Fam Pride Jam.” The event was advertised as family friendly.

It wasn’t.

2/ On Sunday, the city of Chicago — along with several corporate partners including @Lululemon — partnered with the event, which put out these marketing materials to encourage kids to come.

3/ It featured Jules, who identifies as a "white, non-binary, trans-masc human" and claims that, as a 2 year old, she realized "something's not right" with her body. At 12, a teacher exposed her to gender ideology.

You need to understand how crazy this antisemitism bill is that just passed the House with wide bipartisan approval. The law requires the Department of Education to adopt the definition of antisemitism provided by something called the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.
The legislation itself never says what the definition is. All it says is that the definition is whatever this other group says it is. Which is batshit bonkers already because it grants the force of law to whatever the IHRA happens to decree on the subject. But it gets worse.
The bill also specifies that the “examples” of antisemitism that IHRA subjectively came up with will be included in the legal definition. What happens when IHRA adds new examples? Well I guess the legal definition changes. Why is some organization being given this kind of legal power? That is never explained by anyone involved in writing this bill. And it gets worse.Image
