I'm doing my daily update in a totally different format today. #ukrdailyupdate

Ukraine is expanding their holdings around Lozove into establishing positions in Bilohirka (15) and Andriivka (16). Russia tried to counter attack to drive Ukraine out of these two positions (17,18), but these attacks failed. Contrary to the propaganda they pump out.
There is a lot of talk in the past two days about this area around Vysokopillya and the supposed "encirclement". First, I want to state that on July 8th Ukraine came out and said that over 90% of the structures in this town have been demolished (I have the ruins marker).
I actually created the ruins marker in response to this report. BTW. A brief aside, but I think it is related an incredibly interesting: Velyka Oleksandrivka is also said to be almost entirely destroyed, and this is a Russian controlled. Meaning Ukrainian artillery did the damage
Back to Vysokopillya, the town is almost entirely destroyed and has been for weeks. As a result, the town has almost certainly been a gray area under the control of neither Russia nor Ukraine. There is nothing to defend! Nothing to control.
Olhyne is almost certainly in a similar situation, and it has been a gray area as well. So, ask yourself, why would Russia push thousands of men into a totally destroyed town? What would they even do there? The story doesn't make any sense to me.
Rather, I think this is a convenient misinformation from Ukraine. Who started spreading the story, I do not know, but I think it is being used to cover for what is actually happening. For example, those smaller attacks into Andriivka (16) and Bilohirka (15).
Or, perhaps, it is covering for a larger attack on Arkhanhelske, which is in a precarious position on the Russian line. And rumors of encirclement mention Arkhanhelske as well. In fact, if you told me the encirclement were there, it would be more believable.
One thing, for sure, Ukraine absolutely advanced forward toward Olhyne (14), and I believe there is a strong chance they have turned this gray area blue. But that doesn't change the fact that these towns have been rubblized.
Russia decided to try out some creative attack vectors around Avdiivka today. Rather than their usual attacks on Pisky and Kamyanka, they tried out Vodyane (13) and Vesele (12). They both failed.
South of Bakhmut near the power plant: A Russian attack on Novoluhanske was repelled (11), and Russia is continuously assaulting the power plant (10). I do not know how much longer Ukraine will hold these positions, due to what is happening just a few km north from here...
The Wagner mercenary terrorist group reportedly took control over a bit of the southern part of Pokrovske today (8,9) and they are attacking the northern part (7). A Russian attack on Soledar was destroyed by Ukrainian artillery (6).
The Siversk area: Russia is still trying to capture Berestove after Ukraine abandoned it a few days ago, but they are getting absolutely mauled by artillery strikes (4). They are also attacking Bilohorivka with the same result (5).
The Russian attack into Ivano-Darivka failed (3), but that's okay they totally meant to fail and now they are building defenses just outside the town, which was their *real* plan. Everything is going to plan. They also launched an attack on Verkhnokamyanske (2), which failed.
Reportedly, after their failed attack on Verkhnokamyanske Ukraine launched a large HIMARS attack on the Verkhnokamyanka oil refinery, where many orcs gather to roll in mud together and stamp white hands on each others faces. No word on how their mud parties were impacted.
Not much happened in the Kharkiv area today, but Russia pushed a recon group towards Udy (1).
This afternoon, Russian forces in Vasylivka denazified a school of fish in the Dnipro River using a precision strike of Grad rockets.
A large portion of the Russian controlled southern portion of Ukraine is registering large numbers of fires on NASA FIRMS (which is a constellation of satellites that measure forest fires). These could be natural fires, but...
Some of these fires are in areas I suspect Russia may be building a defensive line, and perhaps these fires are related to that, somehow? Or maybe it is just because it is hot and dry. I dunno.

My daily update! #ukrdailyupdate

This update will be somewhat cryptic and brief, I am sorry for that.

If you would like to view the map: google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
The Kharkiv area: Russia began the day by shelling a market and a hospital in Kharkiv, injuring 21 and killing 2. A third man nearly died, but was resucitated after going into cardiac arrest due trauma caused by the explosion. That in itself is a miracle.
Russia tried to attack towards Pytomnyk again today, and the attack was repelled (1).

Russian propagandists are posting Google maps images with a color filter claiming they are recent russian satellite images and highlighting defenses built years ago as brand new. People read this shit just eat it up instead of doing something as simple as opening google maps.
They are circling shadows of trees from an image taken by maxar months ago and uploaded to google map and claiming they are brand new artillery emplacements in order to justify their artillery strikes on civilian infrastructure.
Seriously, they said these are artillery tubes. I'm not linking to the dumbfuck russians but you can open google maps, go to bakhmut, and find this. It is just google maps. Image

Russians in Melitopol are scared, they refuse to sleep in barracks together. They refuse to spend more time than necessary around each other or the equipment. And they are moving equipment into civilian areas. For example, they've turned ЮТАС into a military base.
Apparently the Mykhailivka airfield is completed as well, but I cannot find it on satellite. So if any of you want to play "find the Mykhailivka which could also possibly be spelled Mykolaivka on the map" be my guest.
There are these two, which I thought would be the right place, but I don't see an airfield.

My daily update! #ukrdailyupdate

Here is a link to the map! google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
The Kharkiv area: Russia shelled Kharkiv, killing a 13 year old boy, wounding his 15 year old sister, and killing a couple in their 60s who were waiting for public transport.

Russia tried to advance through Pytomnyk, which is a bit of a sprawling town, but they were repelled (1)
The Slovyansk area: Russia made their normal daily attacks into Krasnopillya (2), Dolyna (3), and Bohorodychne (4), and all were repelled.

My daily update. It is very short today because I have stuff to do tonight. #ukrdailyupdate

Here is a link to the map, I encourage you to use it. The numbers have the text of this update. google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
Kharkiv area: Russian forces are very interested in capturing Udy, and today they sent a recon team towards the town, which was destroyed (1). I think Russia just wants to push Ukrainian forces further away from the border.
South of Kharkiv: Russian forces tried to attack Husarivka using air and artillery support (2), but the attack was repelled by Ukrainian artillery fire. I thought Ukraine held Bairak, but this attack towards Husarivka shows otherwise. Unless the attack came from Nova Husarivka.
