End of Day 4 #SDCC2022 at the Embassy Suites Happy Hour. 655 ppm CO2. I made myself an outdoor happy hour just outside the doors to enjoy some San Diego weather.
End of Day 4 for me! Double fisting a suitcase in one hand and a margarita in the other to very very slowly make my way outta dodge. Overall on the air quality side + mask compliance I've been impressed by what #SDCC2022 has been able to achieve in comparison with that other con
I measured Hall H on Friday, then portions of the Exhibit Hall and Sails Pavilion throughout the convention. I measured Room 6BCF on Saturday. I did not measure Ballroom 20 or any other smaller panels.
Con side lessons: the exhibit hall is overall better in CO2 ppm to the G side, with readings of 800 ppm to 900 ppm. The A side was around 1000 ppm to 1100 ppm. The worst areas were in the 1300 ppm range by the 3300s middle of the exhibit hall.
Con lessons 2: during all-day sessions of elastomeric mask wearing, it is important to have a change of moisture absorbing pads for your face piece and a small hand towel ready to wipe your face periodically. I used this Marushin towel every 45 min and it did the job pretty well.
Con lessons 2: the Angelus paint is durable to a point, and that is when the ambient humidity comes into play. There are these two weak points at the upper part of the harness cage that need reinforcement when masking / unmasking frequently.
Con lessons 4: Even if you take a grip of rapid covid tests with you, all you can measure is what your hotel roommates came with, not whether they picked up anything new at-con. Woops.
SDCC is really proving itself to be the premier pop culture convention in the world. In the next couple days we will see the results of the work put into mask enforcement at-con. In the end if Comic Con can do it, it can serve as a model for other conventions in the world.

Tattoo transfers are a game changer! I love being able to add high contrast, flexible graphics right onto the surface. I tried it on a
@WellBeforeHQ KN95 Pro earloop in Blue with Kpop Demon Hunters tattoos. The graphics can shift in application but once set, they're durable
I had trouble getting the graphics to lift off at some edges. Some parts tore without enough water. I was focused on not drenching that mask outer shell and keeping the moisture to the paper backing of the tattoo only. I just added more tattoos to try to distract from errors 😅
I guess my tip would be, if it's your first time, to strategize and go for an asymmetrical or organic look and roll with it, rather than what I was trying to do here with a mirrored look which is so much harder if something breaks
One thing that strikes me about the continuous self improvement of this company and their products is that this high design, responsiveness, and commitment to quality is coming from not just Asia, but a team out of China. It's Chinese Nationals, showing up here to Do The Work
Pride in quality and utmost testing, and the intense work that it takes to disseminate this in English beyond the borders of their country... this comes from humans in CHINA. I feel this link isn't something that people talk about enough on North American Twitter.
I think as a Chinese American that's had to just take it whenever there's casual anti Asian racism, and even: anti Chinese remarks here and there, I feel it's outstanding that years after everyone else has given up, here's an example of Chinese folks out here hauling the weight
Currently stuck on the 805 freeway hurriedly impromptu making @Comic_Con freebie mask swag to give out
My bag is gonna look like this. I'm just going to carry about 15 boxes and a bunch of masks for now
Gave away all 25 masks I brought for today! Masks are easier to get people to take as I just find someone who already is masking and they're usually very happy to have one offered, but offering tests feels weird.

I finally added a battery to my @SmartAirFilters QT3 using this brilliant hack from @CC14_CC14. It really just takes a small jeweler's file against the lid to make the edit. (Also remember to file an opening into the resting lip on the actual unit, too)
I made my wiring hole to the right of that little center clasp out of laziness. (It is indeed haphazard, I'll file it flush later)
I bought the same T-CORE battery. Wow is it satisfying to be able to actually close the lid on it. #perfectfit inside that qt3 air purifier compartment. TY for your service in figuring that out
Been hanging out at home in a @flo_mask. My parents are wondering why I won't eat with them and I take my food alone. I was at Disneyland all day 2 days ago and I personally feel it's too soon! My 5 day incubation really freaked me out.
I can't control if they give it to me, but I'm still on that quest to *never* be the one to give it to them and so far I've been successful. Most Maskingest Streak still going
I cook with them and set the table but I set my portion right into a tray I just drag behind a door. Then I go back after I'm done to hang out and watch TV while masked.
