NIGERIAN POLICE: A LEGAL ARMED ROBERRY ORGANISATION
I missed my flight from Lagos to Enugu and opted to travel by road because rescheduled flight will be in 2 days time but I must report to work the next day. Luckily I got a siena bus loading to Enugu.
Shortly after we passed Ore heading to Benin, we were stopped by a special police unit that mounted check point. Looking inside the car, they singled out a young man sitting in front beside the driver. They took the boy inside the Bush for search,
after about 45 min, the young man came out said they saw atm card with him, asked other 2 passengers they picked from another vehicle to transfer 100k into his account so he can use their POS to debit his account and credit the POS account.
The boy tried playing smart by entering wrong pin, and the card locked. Police insisted they won't let him go until he release the fund. We are stocked.
The @PoliceNG officer are high way robbers but legal robbers with federal government backing.
Finally, after 3 hours, one of them came and I asked us to bail out the by making the transfer to them so that when we get to our destination the boy will balance us. I told them I have the money but I am not transferring.
You can't waste my time and still plead to my conscience to bail out the guy. I told the police man I am no longer in a haste because there is no way I will get to my destination before 12 midnight. When he saw how annoyed I was, they asked us to go but detained the boy.
THE TRUTH... @OfficialPDPNig have enjoyed the patronage and support of the south east for years. This was obvious during 2015 election which made Buhari made the comment of 97% and 5%. This support didn't erode even in 2019, /1
despite voter apathy in the south east for marginalisation and empathy towards the IPOB cause.
Now this patranoge and support is being threatened by zoning. No matter which side you look at it, SE demand is justified. /2
I keep recanting that @atiku and others decamped to APC and handed victory to APC because they believe its for the north. This singular act made @OfficialPDPNig an opposition party till today. PDP efforts to reclaim power through Atiku in 2019 failed. /3
