Russia attack Bohorodychne and were repelled (1), but that isn't the interesting thing going on in the Izyum area.
I want to first say that nothing going on in this area has been confirmed, the news is confusing, it could be part of an disinformation campaign...
but there are multiple sources of information backing up the claims.
First, a Russian pontoon bridge across the Siverskyi Donets river has disappeared (2). There are rumors that people saw Russia removing this pontoon bridge.
Second, there are rumors that Russia is withdrawing from Bohorodychne (1), Studenok (A), Yatskivka (B), and Borova (C).
The disappearance of the pontoon bridge is really the piece of information that ties all of these rumors together.
With the pontoon bridge gone, resupplying the Russian forces in this area becomes substantially more difficult. And with it gone, it makes sense for Russia to begin removing forces from here.
However, it may not be so simple, and things may not be as they appear.
Oh, and one last comment about this area, there was a wierd comment about Russia attacking Ukraine from the Sviati Hory park. The park is gigantic and I have no idea how to interpret that comment, so I just drew an arrow (3). I have no idea where the attack actually was.
The Siversk area: Everything here has been steady for a few days. Russia is sending failed attacks into Verkhnokamyanske (4), Ivano-Darivka (5), Spirne (6), and north from Berestove (7). Russia officially announced they captured Berestove, although I think it happened yesterday.
The Bakhmut area: Russia is trying to find weaknesses in the Soledar defenses, but they have not yet found any (8). The Wagner terrorist group claims to have captured Pokrovske (9,10) but I have marked the town as contested for the moment.
The Wagner mercenaries captured the Vuhlehirske power plant today (11), and the DPR control most of Novoluhanske (13). The Ukrainian forces have been abandoning these two areas in favor of Semyhirja (12). The DPR forces tried to attack Semyhirja today (14) but they were repelled.
Finally, south of Donetsk, Russia launched minor attacks into Blahodatne (15) and Pavlivka (16).
Russia has lost like 40% of their tanks and like 20% of their infantry plus a large fraction of their attack helicopters and ground attack planes.
Russian stans: OMG we’re winning!
Russian apologists: LOL Russia isn’t even trying! They saving their forces for later!
Russia is burning through their missile reserves, they are burning through their artillery barrels. They have used practically their entire stockpile of precision weapons. Their most elite units have been either mauled or completely destroyed. It will take decades to recover.
The optics they have been buying from france and germany have been largely consumed. Their remaining vehicles are using old equipment. The majority of the best pilots are dead or captured, the remaining pilots have little to no training. Russia lacks flying simulators.
It is possible that Russia is not willingly leaving Izyum, but rather we misinterpreted messages and signals being sent out by Ukrainian authorities about the true situation on the ground. Ukraine has posted many cryptic messages about Sukha Kamyanka over the past few weeks.
Today, there is news about a Ukrainian presence in Pasika. Could it be that Ukraine has been in Sukha Kamyanka this entire time, which has dramatically limited Russia's ability to attack south? This would explain Russia's complete stagnation in this area.
This is how far back the news about Sukha Kamyanka goes back. July 2nd!
You could put a maga hat on this lady and she’d fit right in at the rnc.
I wasnt going to post a translation but I guess I will:
“Yes, they would have taken Kyiv and Lviv long ago, if they wanted, no problem. Only who would restore the ruins? Who would bury the corpses? Although (racist slur), of course its better to destroy everyone
My daily update! #ukrdailyupdate
It is late because I got distracted (I actually finished it like 6 hours ago!)
If you would like to join the 250,000 people who have viewed the map, here is the link: google.com/maps/d/u/0/edi…
The Kharkiv area: Russia attempted to attack Dementiivka from the north west today, and it ended with their assault group taking significant losses (1). They also pushed a recon team into Borshchova (2).
South east of Kharkiv, in Chuhuiv Russians bombed a theatre where people were hiding in the basement in a bomb shelter.
I'm doing my daily update in a totally different format today. #ukrdailyupdate

Ukraine is expanding their holdings around Lozove into establishing positions in Bilohirka (15) and Andriivka (16). Russia tried to counter attack to drive Ukraine out of these two positions (17,18), but these attacks failed. Contrary to the propaganda they pump out.
There is a lot of talk in the past two days about this area around Vysokopillya and the supposed "encirclement". First, I want to state that on July 8th Ukraine came out and said that over 90% of the structures in this town have been demolished (I have the ruins marker).
