The Stonewall scheme is an authoritarian system of thought control that actively undermines the freedom of expression and self-determination of anyone whose beliefs differ from Stonewall’s, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transsexual employees.
Many public, private and voluntary sector organisations are reconsidering their membership of Stonewall Diversity Champions and Workplace Equality Index, after criticism that the organisation’s advice undermines compliance with the Equality Act 2010.
Stonewall as a lobby group has been paid by government bodies to lobby public institutions, with public bodies first signing a “gagging clause” that they will not give out any information about that lobbying as it is commercially sensitive.
26% of Britons say they strongly agree “trans women are women, trans men are men”. 20% somewhat agree, 22% don’t know, 12% somewhat disagree and 18% strongly disagree.

1) It clarifies that “sex” (as understood in the Equality Act 2010) is binary, and that a person’s legal sex is their biological sex as recorded on their birth certificate.
2) It says that a gender recognition certificate is not relevant to decision-making about access to single-sex services.
Has being part of Stonewall’s Diversity Champions programme - which is supposed to be about ‘inclusive workplace culture’ only - influenced the BBC’s output & style guide?

‘We asked the BBC to explain to us how Stonewall’s position of having multiple genders in society had suddenly become the language of the BBC’s Education Department. They did not answer the specific questions.’
