I'm spending the next 100 days creating visual summaries of great productivity books.

I'm starting with Building a Second Brain by Tiago Forte.

This is a visual of his PARA system. Here's how I made it.

——Thread——

👇
I started with an illustration I bought online.

I made a few edits, and displayed one letter of PARA per folder.

👇
I looked back at the notes I took in @thunknotes.

This passage about the weekly review really stood out.

This simple set of questions was clear and actionable.

I added it to the visual.

👇
@thunknotes Things seemed much more clear, but I still felt like the visual needed more.

👇
@thunknotes I tried adding some color.

I noticed something about the arrow looked weird. The colors seemed wrong.

Here's how I fixed it.

👇
@thunknotes I sorted the colors to their natural order in the rainbow.

I realized I could order these from hot (most actionable) to cold (least actionable).

Nice.

👇
@thunknotes Once I'm finished I'll be releasing a full visual summary of @fortelabs' Building a Second Brain on the @thunknotes blog.

I'm really excited to share it.

Here's how you can get it:

ChatGPT is changing how I work, plan, and create.

I’m trying to get better at it & figured I’d share what I've learned.

Here are 10 prompts I've used that actually helped me ⬇️ 👀 Image
1/10: Planning/breaking down tasks

This is my favorite use case.

Pro-tip: ask for the results in the form of a spreadsheet/table Image
2/10: Help me brainstorm pricing models

This uses the "act as" trick to tell it how to behave.

After I got a big list back I just asked for ideas. Image
