I was just on Fox discussing what I still regard as the single worst journalistic and political scandal of the last decade - the CIA-manufactured lie about the documents revealing Biden's activities in China and Ukraine ("Russian disinformation") - and the role the media played.
Just two weeks before Americans voted for President, most liberal outlets ratified and spread a lie from CIA about these docs, which Big Tech then used to justify *brute censorship* of the story. Millions of Americans, as intended, voted without knowing about these revelations.
All of these outlets know that what they told Americans right before the election is a lie. Politico, NYT and WPost - with Biden safely elected - admitted they verified the authenticity of these docs. *Not one* outlet that spread this CIA lie accounted for it let alone retracted.
I can't stress this enough: ever since Trump's elections, employees of media corporations relinquished any pretense of journalistic limits. Their cultural faction believes Trump is such a singular and unique evil that everything - including lying - is justified and even noble.
Media corporations willing to do something like that - blatantly spread a CIA lie with no purpose other than manipulate an election outcome - then refuse to account for what they did, are *irremediable*. They've earned your distrust, deserve your contempt, have no redeeming value
Regarding the above thread: here's my discussion on Fox last night regarding the magnitude of the fraud - the media and political scandal - by a union of CIA, liberal corporate outlets and Big Tech, to spread the pre-election lie of "Russian disinformation" about Biden documents:
These are the people who claim to be so worried about "disinformation," and who believe the internet should be censored to prohibit any questioning of or deviation from that which they declare to be Truth. Nobody lies more recklessly or destructively:
CNN was one of them most aggressive purveyors of the pre-election CIA lie that this archive - with ample information about Joe's business activities - was "Russian disinformation."
CNN now admits the archive was authentic, but no mention of their lie:
An unusual and significant court ruling entitles YouTube's free speech competitor, Rumble, to obtain long-hidden internal documents on Google's search engine manipulations, as well as onerous requirements it imposes on the market to force YouTube down the throats of the public.
Rumble has experienced massive growth since mid-2020, when millions began migrating away from YouTube due to anger of Big Tech's escalating pre-election censorship. That growth has only intensified with increasing Google censorship over COVID, 1/6 and Ukraine.
Here @mtaibbi reviews the 2 films by the great documentarian Alex Lee Moyer: on "incel" subculture ("TFW No GF") and her latest, a documentary on Alex Jones ("Alex's War"). My admiration for Moyer's filmmaking is what caused me to agree to host the premiere, and I'm glad I did.👇
Separately, Taibbi interviews Moyer about her interest in outcasts (incels and Jones), and why journalists can't understand her films: because she does *journalism*, showing viewers the truth and lets them decide, rather than performatively denouncing:
In his review, Taibbi highlights a crucial point. Corporate journalists think people like Jones are isolated, while they remains omnipotent arbiters of nobility. The opposite is true: The Jones film is the #1 on Amazon, ahead of Top Gun, while liberal corporate media collapses.
Here's an extremely illuminating episode on how liberal corporate media works.
When @krystalball and @esaagar left @thehill's "Rising," the Hill struggled to find a heterodox, anti-establishment voice equally popular with its audience. They finally found her: @KimIversenShow.
Kim became extremely popular among Rising viewers. She developed a loyal audience size vastly larger than what 95% of employees of large liberal media corporations have. That's because she does what they won't: questions rather than slavishly parrots official orthodoxy.
So -- as happens whenever an independent journalist finds success while not part of their clique, one they can't control -- liberal tabloids like @TheDailyBeast began running jealous, envious hit pieces in her with their standard insults of expulsion.
This from the often-wise @jackshafer -- arguing the GOP is foolish to ignore corporate media -- is compelling... in a prior era. Trump's arrival radically transformed most media into blatant, unapologetic propagandists for Dems. Nothing is in good faith.
This is the overarching premise of liberal culture, the singular view you must affirm to be accepted within it:
Trump is a singular and unprecedented evil, and opposing him by all means - including lying - is not only justified but morally required. That's their defining ethos.
Beyond that, corporate media has so discredited itself -- just look at polling data -- that, aside from all else, their reach is radically diminished. They speak only to and for one another: liberals. Their rotted soul has fostered a far more vibrant part of the media ecosystem.
This is all a lie. I have nothing to do with this product. I was asked to speak at DEF CON but haven't agreed to do that.
But look at all the corporate journalists spreading this lie. This is what they do: once they see you as an ideological enemy, they spread lies with abandon.
Look at how easily and recklessly liberal "journalists" and self-proclaimed experts jump on a lie and just mindlessly spread it. No checking. No verification. Just lying. All that is needed is perception of the wrong ideology, and anything goes.
This is how liberal journalists in corporate media have completely destroyed their credibility. It's why nobody trusts them. They make up lies or recklessly spread lies about anyone they regard as their ideological enemy, and almost everyone knows this.
Eddie Dempsey is one of the most effective UK voices for working class values/policies, so of course prominent Labourites - happy to share a stage with warmongering Blairites if it gets them on BBC - declared him persona non grata and racist for his trade union defense of Brexit:
The Labour-left attack on Dempsey seems like just a UK controversy, but it's not. It's highly reflective of how liberal-left elites in the West are willing to embrace the most monstrous mainstream neoliberals and militarists. From Dempsey's response:
This was the speech that caused all sorts of prominent left-wing Labourites - who will appear next to and support any mainstream neoliberal - to declare Dempsey an outcast because he argued that not all Brexit supporters were racist Nazis. It's brilliant:
