As we approach 100 days until the midterms, Democrats are calling out Republicans’ ultra-MAGA agenda to ban abortion and cut Americans’ Medicare and Social Security benefits. Here's your #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
Pennsylvania Democrats are kicking off a “Too Extreme GOP” tour and reminding voters that while ultra-MAGA Republicans want to ban abortion and cut Medicare, Democrats are working to lower costs and combat inflation.

State Senator @DonDavisNC called out Republicans in North Carolina for their extreme agenda and opposing legislation that would cut costs for families.

Ohio Senator Rob Portman voted to block legislation that would help veterans exposed to toxic burn pits, despite previously supporting the PACT Act.

Republicans may claim to support our veterans, but their votes tell a different story.

Despite previously supporting the PACT Act, Texas Senators Ted Cruz and John Cornyn voted to block it this time.

Why are they playing political games with our veterans’ health care?

Congrats to the Democrats in Congress who sent the CHIPS bill to President Biden’s desk this week, despite the 187 House Republicans who sided with Big Pharma and China instead of voting to create jobs.

Vice President @KamalaHarris has spent the last two weeks meeting with state legislators and lawmakers on abortion rights, calling out Republicans for their extreme anti-choice agenda.

It’s clear: Democrats are working to defend abortion rights.

This week, as Republicans promoted their dangerous ultra-MAGA agenda, Democrats continued holding them accountable for their extreme efforts to ban abortion, put children's health at risk, and overturn elections. Here's your #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
I'll repeat it: Mike Pence is on an extremism tour.

We will not let the ultra-MAGA agenda win in November.
The @AZDems are right. While Democrats are fighting to protect freedoms, Republicans are trying to take them away. We must work to elect pro-choice majorities in every state this November. nbcnews.com/news/latino/la…

Folks, we've been investing in state parties across the country to fund state-specific programs to help Democratic candidates compete and win up and down the ballot this November.

Here's your #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
I know just how critical it is to reach voters in every corner of the state to strengthen our party.

Investing in the @tndp's organizing efforts is imperative to electing Democrats who will fight for Tennessee families.

Investments like these allow states like @SoDakDems to talk directly to native and rural voters across the state about how Democrats will continue working for them.

While House Republicans are trying to defend voting against a bill to address the baby formula shortage, we know their only strategy is to obstruct President Biden's progress.

Here's your #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
Pennsylvania Republicans put the American people last, and we cannot trust them to stand up for working families.

President Biden and Democrats will remain laser-focused on working to bring baby formula to shelves and preventing another shortage.

Folks, it’s just sad.

Instead of helping families with $28 million in aid to address the baby formula shortage, North Carolina Republicans also voted no. But, as Democrats do, we're making sure safe formula gets to all who need it.

This week, Democrats got to work addressing the infant formula shortage and helping prevent price gouging at the gas pump, while Republicans are more interested in pushing their ultra-MAGA agenda than helping the American people.

Here's your #WeeklyStatesRoundup 🧵:
While Democrats moved quickly to deliver for families and address the baby formula shortage, Wisconsin Republicans continued to vote against progress and fail their constituents.

While families are struggling, Iowa Republicans turned their back on their communities.

Democrats will continue to work for families despite Republicans refusing to get more resources to help put infant formula on the shelves.

🧵 #FearFraudFascism #StandUp GOP stole a Supreme Court Seat! Tried to steal the Presidency via coup! Attempting to steal Congress w/ voter suppression laws & now are attacking fundamental freedoms- a woman’s right to choose!

2022 IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ELECTION of OUR LIFETIME!
The Court’s legitimacy is on the line.

For 50 years- Roe was settled law. “Stare Decisis”- was what many of these Republican Justices pledged to follow. They lied.

So what’s next:
⚖️ Marriage Equality?
⚖️ Loving v. VA?
⚖️ Brown v. Board?
The story here is that in an unprecedented move 5 Republican justices will overturn 50 years of legal precedence and destroy women’s rights and the legitimacy of the Supreme Court in the process.

🧵: When you & your kin have never had to worry about the FAFSA; college funds running out; pell/perkins $ coming in so as to buy books & food; the diff between subsidized/unsubsidized; finding a decent work study job & then starting life w/ 150k of debt, then you write this 👇🏾
For many, college is the gateway to break the cycle of poverty that entraps their family. I am a 1st-gen college grad. The first day I visited campus was the 1st day I enrolled. We couldn’t afford college visits- many can’t. I didn’t know what to expect & neither did my family.
On top of the demands & rigor of coursework, many students have financial anxiety. My first year, I was on the verge of having Thanksgiving alone in my dorm, but our Asst Bursar Alberta Deas heard about it & gave me a special loan to get a train ticket to SC to be with my family.
