Tips for post-covid concerts- what can we do to keep each other safe and to continue enjoying live music
1. Don't go if you have covid!
This is hopefully very obvious but you SHOULD NOT go to a concert if you have covid. Most venues, if not all, will have covid restrictions that require either a negative covid test or proof of vaccination. To be safe I would always take a test!!!
2. Wear a mask!
Again, very obvious, but also very important. Masks do not only keep you safe, but also those around you, and even the band! Especially if the show is inside, wearing a mask will give us a better chance at keeping the spread of covid at bay.
3. Try to social distance.
I know that getting barricade is super fun, trust me I've camped at countless shows to get there, but getting covid is not! If we try to space out the crowd even just a little bit, that little bit of distance will give covid a harder time at spreading.
4. Get vaccinated.
Like I mentioned earlier, you may even come across a music venue or even an artist that requires a vaccination to get into the show. The vaccination is not a guarantee that you will not get covid but it definitely makes it less severe if you do get it! #VAXXED
5. Wash your hands ya filthy animal
Regardless of covid, we know that getting sick is most often from germs on your hands getting in your eyes or mouth when you touch your face or pick your nose. So, please, just wash your hands. Heres another tip- sing happy birthday twice.
Overall, please just be responsible and considerate of those around you. We are all here for the same reason, to enjoy a show. So let's do our part in keeping that possible, because we all know we don't want to go without live music again. Be safe, and rock on :)
