The Year I ran comrades comfortably
2017 - never mind that it ended badly
Here are key things I did 1. I qualified and accepted my time and never raced any other marathon 2. I ran all marathons under 4 hours strictly between 3:55 and 3:58 3. I strengthened my core and legs
In addition I did only 2 long runs - well Ultra running if you like. Two oceans and fat cats 60
The rest was a distance that never exceeded 40km on training and I used my marathons as part of my LSD’s
I gave the body enough time to recover.
Adding a strict training program and running group helped with discipline and not showing up on all races helped with knowing when to run and not being dragged by the high rise of races and trainings
Things I wish I knew before I started running.....
If anyone would have told me when I started running that I will one day line up at Comrades I would have laughed on their face....... #Itwilldefineyou
Number 1.... that the gains will fade and your body texture will not be the same
Woke up feeling generous. These are itching for the new owner. Will post in an hour as to how you can get yourself these new babies. Off visit there are rules. Running shoes for grabs. Let me stretch while I come up with a quick T and Cs
Hayini Ndilindeni Yhazz will provide full details of the shoes first then the criteria you must meet then we narrow it down to a winner....
Let me put it out there that I am only moved by inspiration... I get inspired by Zeal; Determination; Commitment; Discipline; Never die spirit; Positive outlook of life despite circumstances.
Now Today am looking for ladies that are determined and focused on keeping Fit

How my journey to international marathons started, A Thread 🧵
It was in 2017 two oceans when I met runner named Joe who nicely requested to join my solo running as he felt we were running same or similar pace.... he mentioned that he is taking is easy as he is due to line up for London Marathon the following week....
I was almost out of breath with my uncomfortable pace but inside I was like so my ultimate racing pace is his jogging or taking it easy 😂🤦♀️I digress anyways we proceeded for almost 6km with Joe and my diesel takes forever to warm... we did not make it to half way with Joe
