This thread will give you a basic idea about #PatraChawl Scam & why Sanjay Raut is being arrested by ED. This will also clear the doubt whether this case is political revenge as claimed by Raut or a real scam where 672 families are still waiting for justice.

Patra Chawl is in Goregaon, Mumbai. One of the prime locations in Western Suburbs. Patra Chawl had 672 families living in those chawl & total land parcel was around 47 acres.

This chawl was set for redevelopment by Mumbai Housing Development Authority famously known as MHADA

In 2007, MHADA awarded redevelopment contract to Guruashish Construction, a sister concern of HDIL.

Guruashish Construction was suppose to build 672 flats for Patra Chawl residents & 3000 flats for MHADA. Fyi, MHADA is budget housing scheme, whr flats are sold via lottery system

Now instead of honouring the contract, Guruashish Construction sold Patra Chawl land to 8 other builders for Rs. 1100 crores.

Those builders built high rise towers on Patra Chawl's 47 acre land.

Those 672 families didn't get a flat & they are homeless for last 15 years.

Sanjay Raut's close aide Pravin Raut is partner & one of the biggest beneficiary of the land scam. Pravin Raut is also an accused in PMC Bank scam.

Also the other accused in the scam is Sujit Patkar, who is also a close aide of Sanjay Raut

Entire scam took place in Congress era

672 families have gone to court & law agencies for justice. Both residents & MHADA faced huge losses. In 2018, during Devendra Fadnavis's era, MHADA registered an FIR in #PatraChawl land scam

When FIR was registered, Shivsena was also part of the govt, hence its no conspiracy

Later, the case was transferred to Enforcement Directorate for investigation. Till date ED has conducted various raids at Pravin Raut's residence & raids at the other close aide of Sanjay Raut. In Feb 2022, ED had picked up around 28 ppl associated to Raut for enquiry.

Just couple of days back, an audio clip surfaced whr Raut was badly abusing Swapna Patkar, who happens to be wife of Sujit Patkar & she is a key witness to this scam.

Raut was heard threatening Swapna to transfer land papers in either his name or Sujit's name.

There is no question of vendetta politics here. 672 homeless families from Patra Chawl are the biggest evidence that the scam took place.

Shivsena's Marathi Asmita is a big hoax. They gobbled up the land which was allotted for affordable housing, would have benefitted Marathis.

Marathi Media is completely sold out to Pawar & Sanjay Raut is key person of Sharad Pawar. Hence Media will never show any truth in this matter. They r busy glorifying Raut as a victim of BJP's vendetta politics

MHADA land cannot be sold. What the parent developer did was, he sold the Sale FSI to other builders which is a violation of the Tri-party agreement which is made for any Mhada project. Agreement is between MHADA TENANT SOCIETY AND THE DEVELOPER

The developer has to 1st build the tenant building and handover before the sale. You can't sell Sale Component unless you have handed over the tenant area

This is a violation of Tri-party agreement.
What Guruashish did was, they sold their development rights to other developers
