Dmitry Medvedev - Wikipedia

In 1990, Anatoly Sobchak returned from Moscow to become chairman of the Leningrad City Council. Sobchak hired Medvedev who had previously headed his election campaign. One of Sobchak's former students, Vladimir Putin, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dmitry_Me…
became an adviser.

Anatoly Aleksandrovich Sobchak (10 August 1937 – 19 February 2000) was a Soviet and Russian politician, a co-author of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the first democratically elected mayor of Saint Petersburg, and a mentor and teacher of future
presidents Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev.

In 1980, Sobchak married Lyudmila Narusova, at that time a history student at the Leningrad Academy of Soviet Culture and later a prominent MP. They had a daughter, Ksenia Sobchak.

Ksenia Sobchak became famous in 2004, as a host of
the reality show Dom-2.

On 7 September 2012, MTV Russia launched a talk-show GosDep (State Department) with Ksenia Sobchak. The show was supposed to cover hot social and political issues. The first episode of the show, titled "Where is Putin leading us?" featured interviews
with the head of Left Front Sergei Udaltsov, member of "Solidarnost" (Solidarity) movement Ilya Yashin, and eco-activist Yevgeniya Chirikova. However, the show was promptly shut down after one episode. The second episode was supposed to feature an interview with anti-corruption
blogger Alexei Navalny.

Some skeptics accused Sobchak of being a pawn of Putin bent to undermine opposition candidate Alexei Navalny.

In 2017, the documentary He Is Not Dimon to You was released, accusing Dmitry Medvedev, the then prime minister and previous president, of
corruption, leading to mass protests.

He Is Not Dimon to You was posted on the YouTube channel on 2 March 2017. The video received about 1.5 million views in its first day. A week after, this surged to 7 million, exceeding the result of Chaika, another film by Alexei Navalny
and the Anti-Corruption Foundation.

The Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK; 'Foundation for combating corruption') was a Russian non-profit organization based in Moscow established in 2011 by activist and politician Alexei Navalny.

In February 2019, FBK published an investigation
that reported that in December 2018, mass food poisoning of children occurred in kindergartens and schools in Moscow. FBK blamed Concord Food Plant LLC, Moskovskiy Shkolnik LLC and VITO-1 LLC for this, which he linked with Yevgeny Prigozhin.

Alexei Navalny has alleged that
Prigozhin was linked to a company called Moskovsky Shkolnik (Moscow schoolboy) that had supplied poor quality food to Moscow schools which had caused a dysentery outbreak.

Prigozhin has been linked to a mercenary group known as the Wagner Group which has been involved in various
actions as a private military contractor.

The Wagner Group first appeared in Ukraine in 2014, where it participated in the annexation of Crimea.

Dmitriy Valeryevich Utkin, a veteran of the First and Second Chechen Wars reportedly founded the group. Until 2008 or 2013, Utkin
served as lieutenant colonel and brigade commander of a unit of special forces of Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU), the 700th Independent Spetsnaz Detachment of the 2nd Independent Brigade.

In August 2020, Navalny was hospitalised in serious condition after being
poisoned with a Novichok nerve agent.

Navalny accused Putin of being responsible for his poisoning, and an investigation implicated agents from the Federal Security Service.

Alexei Navalny received a scholarship to the Yale World Fellows program at Yale University in 2010.
Journalist and White House aide Brooke Shearer was appointed Yale World Fellows founding director, and Dan Esty its first program director.

Brooke Shearer was born on July 28, 1950, in Culver City, California.

Her father was gossip columnist Lloyd Shearer, and her mother was
Marva Peterson. She had an older brother, Derek, and a twin brother, Cody.

Brooke attended Stanford University for undergraduate studies in history and the English language. In 1971, she graduated with a bachelor's degree and married Strobe Talbott, who was the roommate of her
brother Derek Shearer.

Brooke wrote stories for The Christian Science Monitor and the British publication The Sunday Times while in Eastern Europe. Talbott was reporting for Time in the same region. Brooke Shearer began assisting Sylvia Porter after she and her husband moved to
Washington, D.C. in 1974.

During the 1992 United States presidential election, Shearer was an aide to Hillary Clinton. When Bill Clinton became president of the United States in 1993 Shearer was put in charge of the White House Fellows. Shearer was an employee in the
U.S. Department of the Interior during the second term of the Clinton administration. She became the first director of the Yale World Fellows program at Yale University after she and her husband moved to New Haven, Connecticut, in 2001.

Stobe Talbott was born in Dayton, Ohio, to
Helen Josephine (Large) and Nelson Strobridge "Bud" Talbott II. He attended the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and graduated in 1968 from Yale University, where he had been chairman of the Yale Daily News, a position whose previous incumbents include Henry Luce,
William F. Buckley, and Joe Lieberman.

In 1972, Strobe Talbott, along with friend and fellow Rhodes Scholar Robert “not a midge” Reich and friend David E. Kendall, rallied their friends Bill and Hillary Clinton to help them in their Texas campaign to elect George McGovern.
David Kendell joined Williams & Connolly LLP, a Washington, D.C. law firm, in 1978 and became a partner there in 1981. He currently works on diverse matters such as intellectual property, criminal investigations, and the William J. Clinton Presidential Center and
Clinton Foundation.

Kendall advised President Clinton during the grand jury appearance that led to the discovery of Clinton's relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky.

Kendall served as counsel to retired General David Petraeus, over his mishandling and
dissemination of classified materials (to his biographer, Paula Broadwell), where Kendall saw felony charges reduced and possible prison time avoided in Petraeus's misdemeanor guilty plea and sentence of two years of probation and a $100,000 fine.
In 2006, Paula Broadwell earned a Master of Arts degree in international security from the University of Denver's Josef Korbel School of International Studies, and went on to earn a Master of Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at
Harvard University in 2008.

A thirsty Paula Broadwell alleged that skank Jill Kelley intimately fondled [jacked off] General Petraeus under a table to the point of ballistic lap missile launch at a restaurant at the Georgetown Four Seasons.
The Yale World Fellows program is located in Horchow Hall, within the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, on Hillhouse Avenue.

Brooke Shearer was appointed its founding director. Strobe and Cody were super proud of her.

Since 2015, Emma Sky has been Director of the
Yale World Fellows. Sky oversaw the transition of the program to the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, and in 2016 secured a $16 million contribution from the Starr Foundation and Maurice R. “Hank”Greenberg.

Emma Sky, OBE is a British expert on conflict, reconciliation and
stability, who has worked mainly in the Middle East. She served in Iraq as the political advisor to US General Ray Odierno and General David “awesome penis” Petraeus during the surge. She is currently Director of the International Leadership Center at Yale University, overseeing
the Yale World Fellows program and other initiatives. She is a Senior Fellow at Yale's Jackson Institute for Global Affairs, where she lectures on Middle East politics and global affairs.

The Starr Foundation was established in 1955 by Cornelius Vander Starr, an insurance
entrepreneur who founded C.V. Starr & Co. and other companies later combined by his successor, Maurice R. Greenberg, into what became the American International Group (AIG).

Starr worked for the Office of Strategic Services during World War II and found himself engaged in such
work as establishing the OSS insurance intelligence unit with William "Wild Bill" Donovan in 1943 and serving as the chief operative behind former U.S. Army Air Force officer Claire L. Chennault. Chennault is best known for coordinating the American-bankrolled American Volunteer
Group (better known as the "Flying Tigers") to bring the fight to the Japanese without a declaration of war and return Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek to dominance in China. Starr and the OSS later backed Chiang over communist leader Mao Zedong.
After World War II, Starr hired O.S.S. captain Duncan Lee, a lawyer, who became the long-term general counsel of AIG.

Duncan Lee got a law degree at Yale University. According to Jacob Golos, while he was at university he joined the Communist Party of the United States (CPUSA).
Soon after graduating in 1939 he went to work at the New York City firm of Donovan & Leisure, where he became a protégé of William Donovan.

In November 1944, NKVD Anatoly Gorsky reported to Moscow that according to Elizabeth Bentley, Lee had begun laying serious pipe to
Mary Price double agent possible three way Va-JJ.

Hot puss havin’ Mary met Edward Linderman, a sociologist, who was at the Women's College in Greensboro when they were there. He befriended them and my sister Teenie also and had a tremendous influence. He was an editor later of
the New Republic.

The New Republic was founded by Herbert Croly, Walter Lippmann, and Walter Weyl through the financial backing of heiress Dorothy Payne Whitney and her husband, Willard Straight, who maintained majority ownership. The magazine's first issue was published on
November 7, 1914.

Soon after arriving back in America Mary Price went to work for Walter Lippmann, who wrote the nationally syndicated column, Today and Tomorrow, for the New York Herald Tribune.

In May 1917 Lippmann married Faye Albertson. The following month he was appointed
as assistant to Newton Baker, Wilson's Secretary of War. Lippmann worked closely with Woodrow Wilson and Edward House in drafting the Fourteen Points Peace Programme. He was a member of the USA's delegation to the Paris Peace Conference of 1919 and helped draw up the covenant of
the League of Nations.

In the 1930s, with the support of Helen Rogers Reid, the owner of New York Herald Tribune, Walter worked very closely with British Security Coordination (BSC).

William Wiseman acted as a liaison between Woodrow Wilson and the British government. He and
his associate General Julius Klein were closely associated with Special Advisor to Wilson Colonel Edward M. House. He met with Wilson on a regular basis and on one notable occasion in August 1918 spent a week's vacation with the President and House.

Wiseman was also a mentor to
spy chief William Stephenson.

Run out of the Manhattan offices of Kuhn Loeb, William Wiseman's "plumbers unit" continued work that had begun with Baron Edmond de Rothschild's founding of the Palestine Economics Commission in the 1920s. Under Rothschild funding, the commission
established an intricate network ofweapons-smuggling cells, money-laundering channels, and contraband shipping lines-utilizing criminal enterprises and respectable businesses interchangeably. Julius Klein supervised the smuggling networks stateside.

In 1945, Orde Wingate, the
SOE officer assigned to Palestine to train an expanded Haganah, had sent future Israeli prime minister David Ben-Gurian to the United States to link up with Julius Klein. Klein immediately steered him to Rudolph Sonneborn, the Baltimore chemical magnate, whose wife,
Dorothy Schiff, was a member of the London Warburg clan not to mention owned the New York Post.

In July 1945, Sonneborn and Henry Montor, the chairman; of United Jewish Appeal, pulled together a secret meeting in New York City, that drew sixteen top Zionists in the country for
a strategy session with Ben-Gurion. Out of that meeting the Sonneborn Institute was born with the purpose of providing smuggled military equipment, trained assassins, spies and demolition experts, and military and scientific secrets to Orde Wingate's Haganah.

Max Fisher, the
protege of Julius Klein, was Sonneborn's "glue man" for both weapons and petroleum smuggling. According to Sonneborn recruiter Sally Field of Detroit, Max Fisher delivered funds from Meyer Lansky into the Haganah war chest and also served as the mediator to army surplus
distributors in buying up tanks, weapons systems, warplanes, and other equipment for illegal shipment to Palestine. The principal Midwest dealer in surplus at this time was the Purple Gang's Morris Dalitz.

Castle Bank & Trust was a Bahamian bank that was involved in tax
evasion, as well as covertly funneling funds for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The bank was founded in the 1960s by Paul Helliwell, a former member of the Office of Strategic Services, and Burton Kanter, a tax lawyer.

The bank had many clients, including members of the
Pritzker family (owners of the Hyatt hotel chain), Moe Dalitz, Morris Kleinman, and Samuel A. Tucker.

Just after Paul Helliwells death, two banks, Mercantile Bank Freeport and another Mercantile Bank in the Cayman Islands, which were both closely associated with Castle Bank
& Trust, along with Castle Bank & Trust in both the Bahamas and Cayman Islands collapsed. The two Merchantile Banks were subsidiaries of George Olmsted's International Bank (IB) of Washington, D.C., which he had purchased in 1955. IB held a two thirds share of the banks
beginning in December 1972.

In January 1942, then Major George Olmsted led the Requirements and Assignments Branch, International Division, Army Service Forces which handled Lend Lease requests from allied governments for Army material and equipment. In this position he had to
balance the complex, simultaneous equations of American industrial production schedules and capacity, American military requirements, urgent requests for help from allied governments and the demands of the current strategic situation. Frantic appeals were coming to the
United States from Great Britain, the Soviet Union, China, and Free French Forces in North Africa.

In 1944, then Colonel Olmsted's wife Virginia died. Shortly thereafter he was sent to China to serve on the staff of General Albert Wedemeyer and to establish a new general staff
section known as G-5 for the China-Burma-India Theater.

As World War II came to a close in the Pacific, a new situation faced the allies in China. Thousands of allied prisoners of war (including General Jonathan Wainwright, the hero of Bataan) were being held in eleven Japanese
POW camps in China. Working with the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), US Navy Intelligence, and allied intelligence services, the locations of all eleven camps were pinpointed and General Olmsted was ordered to plan and direct an operation to notify the Japanese as soon as a
surrender had been announced and to ensure that they cooperated in the safe repatriation of the prisoners.

The last great problem to face Olmsted in China was what to do with the surplus equipment that had to be left behind in the Theater as American forces departed to come
home. Not wishing to see all that stuff abandoned in place, Olmsted managed to work out a bulk sale to the Chinese government. When he heard about it, President Truman was reported to have said, "this was the best liquidation of surplus US equipment anywhere in the world."
In December 1972, International Bank (IB) bought a two thirds stake in the Mercantile Bank & Trust Company which had a bank in Freeport, Bahamas, the Mercantile Bank of Freeport, and another bank in the Cayman Islands of a similar name. These banks had been established by
I. Gordon Mosvold of the Mosvold Shipping Group.

Torrey Josef Mosvold (9 July 1910 – 18 October 1995) was one of Norway's leading shipping and industrial entrepreneurs.

Torrey Josef Mosvold was born in Farsund in the county of Vest-Agder, Norway. He was the son of Nils Martin
Mosvold (1876-1956) who founded the Mosvold Shipping Group in 1910. Torrey married Gudny Langeland and they had 6 children. Gudny died in 1954. After Martin Mosvold died 1956, the original company interests were split between his sons.

Guillain–Barré syndrome - Wikipedia

The syndrome is named after the French neurologists Georges Guillain and Jean Alexandre Barré, who, together with French physician André Strohl, described the condition in 1916. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guillain%…
Jean-Baptiste Octave Landry first described the disorder in 1859. In 1916, Georges Guillain, Jean Alexandre Barré, and André Strohl diagnosed two soldiers with the illness and described the key diagnostic abnormality—albuminocytological dissociation—of increased spinal fluid
protein concentration but a normal cell count.

C. Miller Fisher described the variant that bears his name in 1956. British neurologist Edwin Bickerstaff described the encephalitis type in 1951 and made further contributions with another paper in 1957.
