thread of amber heard supporters having very similar thoughts that i had a few days ago when i talked about their misinformation reversing the roles…

“they began making threads in support of AH, giving the impression that theyre sharing full and factual evidence, but in reality manipulating the evidence presented and remaining completely biased”

“the threads JD supporters supporters make are combating that misinformation ImageImageImage
“openly showing both sides of the discussion, AH supporters fail to mention any evidence we show. The little they do mention to try and “debunk” JD supporters are incidents that they rarely ever mention when they talk about her being abusive, you can make a whole thread-
“trying to prove that she didnt leave her feces on his bed but we’re talking about her hitting him in the middle of a recording, giving him alcohol & xanax when he’s seemingly already out of it, telling him that she cant promise she wont get violent again, why not focus on that?”
“if someone calls these accounts out, they block. they form an echo chamber where people who see their tweets can only see their narrative because their replies are off and everyone who doesn’t support AH is blocked”
why are they so against engaging in discourse whenever people present the opposing evidence?
“you see a mix of familiarity and repetition (influx of articles and threads), confirmation and popularity bias (tweets in support of AH have the greatest amount of interaction), turning towards identity (the idea that the trial is an attack to women), targeting emotions” ImageImage
(“women aren’t believed”), heuristics (short threads that reduce mental effort), etc. clearly, the full evidence and facts aren’t included in that mix.”

tiktok reduces polarization, allows others to respond to comments with a video & engage in discourse.

users on tiktok have been talking about how the MSM misinforms others, showing disbelief for it & how they don’t trust it anymore.

false news spreads faster on twitter- ImageImageImageImage
a study tested out why this is the case, and it turns out that tweets containing false information were more emotionally provoking, creating surprise and/or distrust. the use of hashtags to further spread this increased polarization. Image
“negative views towards the opposing group in this polarized system increases one’s belief in what they stand for, “partisans, especially extreme partisans, may be motivated to spread fake news to bolster the ingroup group or foster negative feelings toward the opposition”
which makes it a lot less likely for people to be associated with the opposing group, even if they’re lies.
this has all created a false narrative both about JD and his supporters, pointing fingers and saying “these are the people who support JD, would you want to be associated with that?” this wouldn’t be needed if they were showing all the facts. ImageImage
they use tactics to distract people from factual information, constantly pushing mainstream articles that target people’s biases and are emotionally evocative in order to trigger strong feelings in others,
attacking the credibility of everyone involved to make the whole group look incompetent, unprofessional, and untrustworthy. Even if it means grasping at straws, they do everything except talk about the full facts.
(im not getting paid btw) but the point stands on twitter vs. tiktok & the difference between these two platforms. Image
users on twitter began talking about how AH supporters were treating them.

right after they do the same thing.

“surely increasing the number of people who check it and creating a narrative about JD supporters to others before they enter the twitter space” ImageImage
where AH threads supporting her are readily available and in a place where you can’t see the opposing side, with others being blocked and their replies shut off.

why do they feel the need to completely block the other side of the conversation and point fingers?

clearly you dont understand or are trying to distract from how bad this makes her look. as you purposefully cropped out the context.

it isn’t about johnny depp’s injuries in regards to her abuse. so i’ll provide the context amber heard supporters fail to mention, as per usual.
amber kept trying to have johnny have an IME even though he didn’t claim any psychological or physical injury in response to her op-ed. so there was no reason to for the IME, thats them saying that. in fact, it reveals the lengths she'll go to shame and harass. Image
4:10: when the mental or physical condition of a party is in controversy, the court may order a physical or mental exam

they were saying the requirements to show they dont apply. he didnt say he suffered psychological/physical injury due to her statements. Image

society: men get abused way less, so we dont talk about them as much

w a lot of men ive known, when i ask if theyve been abused, they say no. when i ask if theyve been hit, kicked, slapped, etc. unprovoked many say yes.
how can they recognize abuse if they were never taught to.
you know how '85% victims of DV are women' always gets thrown around? that's a key sign to tell if a 'domestic abuse expert' is biased. because that statistic comes from a crime victim survey, it's not commonly used, as it's inaccurate in reflecting victims of any gender.
but especially men, if they have a hard time seeing IPV as abuse, and then you go and frame IPV as a crime? widely underreported.
as a study found that phrasing questions about partner assaults in the context of criminal assaults reduced the reporting of partner assaults by 83% Image

read their thread. what theyre doing is damage control, & its obvious.

amber heard supporters are trying to make it seem as if the information theyre sharing is true & as if theyre combating that misinformation w threads & pointing fingers at tiktok, this is why 🧵🪡🧵🧶🧵🧶🧶
they have the MSM media on their side, they try & frame it as a good thing, trying to increase their credibility, the MSM is known to use tactics to spread misinformation. it focuses on appealing to people’s emotions in order to keep them from thinking logically & critically
the headlines that so many articles use and put as the central topic involve instilling fear in others, telling survivors of IPV that they won’t be believed because of the johnny and amber trial, that no amount of evidence is enough, that it’s a gag order on women,

a thread showing what the #unsealed documents have shown us about amber heard, and seeing what her supporters call “damning evidence”

#JohnnyDeppGotJustice Image
there’s a reason theyre currently trying to attack the credibility of johnny’s supporters, insinuating that we’re lying while trying to direct the attention to cocaine’s and kamilla’s threads. rather than directly acknowledging & debunking our “lies” as they so confidently claim.
#Distraction saying that deuters said johnny “cut himself” so it must mean that he did it himself. even though he quite literally stated “they didn’t know how” at first.

amber heard ppls move rn is shifting the attention to texts rather than the actual focus: the relationship between amber & johnny depp in relation to abuse, where docs showed her (again) admitting multiple times that she was the perpetrator of violence.
you’ll show that she isolated him from his friends by initiating violence and they’ll divert the attention till you’re suddenly left arguing about whether or not johnny depp doctored a photo of his finger injury since apparently it’s probable to have your finger cut twice
they never directly respond to the evidence, they have to put the attention somewhere else.

to talk about everything else, you have to get to the center of the dynamics first. who’s been shown multiple times to be the perpetrator w evidence. amber, physically violent unprovoked

thread in response to k4mil1aa’s thread about johnny depp and amber heard because it’s completely misleading and fails to recognize research on this exact topic, despite trying to frame it as informative.

this study analyzed women’s shelters or participants who said they were abused, which is not representative of community samples. so yes, when a woman is being abused, self-defense may not be uncommon, but that’s not what we’re talking about, Image
because the subject at hand is talking about a man being a victim, not to mention that when a man is a victim people commonly excuse the woman’s violence by saying it was self-defense, which contradicts studies showing the opposite. ImageImageImage
