Sechaba: … we would like you to explain the relationship between the Black Panther Party and the Black Power movement..
#HueyNewton: The #BlackPantherParty grew out of the #BlackPower movement, but the Party transformed the ideology of Black Power into a socialist ideology, a #MarxistLeninist ideology. The Black Power movement has a tendency to have a capitalistic orientation along the lines of …
..#MarcusGarvey’s program and the kind of organization that Elijah Muhammed has. The #BlackPantherParty feels that not even the Black bourgeoisie will be able to compete with imperialism, whose central base is here in North America…
..The United States is the central base of the bourgeoisie, and this is because this country is really not a nation any longer, but an empire that controls the world through economics and physical force—military might…
.. The #BlackPantherParty has transformed this movement into a socialist movement and we have become not nationalists, like the #BlackPower movement in the past, but internationalists… [end quote]

🇵🇸🧵 What is a mass uprising and why are we calling for it? We are calling for mass uprisings in direct solidarity with the Palestinian people esp in Gaza, and in support of their and our common resistance against white supremacy colonialism.
We are calling for mass uprisings for Gaza & Palestine as we understand the attack on Gaza is an attack on all oppressed people under the growing exploitation & oppression of global racist capitalism/colonialism.
We understand that if we do not push back and defeat the escalations of global racist violence such as is being delivered onto Palestinians then other oppressed peoples will be next.
#thread 🧵 The British Monarchy’s neo-colonial control over the Arab world: as promised we delve into the the realm of foreign policy where revolutionary overthrow of Britain’s colonial proxies is a real and ever-present danger.
Following the taxonomy deployed by legendary Ghanaian revolutionary, Kwame Nkrumah, the Arab states can be divided into 2 camps: those which are under the effective control of the former colonial powers and their allies (which he termed ‘neocolonial’), and those which are not.
State such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and the UAE, all of them creations of the British empire and to this day still controlled by the ruling families handpicked by Britain at the height of empire.
Thread! 🧵 The real role of the Queen/UK Monarchy: The death of Elizabeth Windsor has prompted an establishment-led frenzy of monarchism across Britain, with wall-to-wall sycophantic TV and radio coverage..
standard view of Brit monarchy is that they’re symbolic figureheads lacking real power; mere ornaments adorning the Brit system. truth is that queen n family were & are crucial pillars in the maintenance of class power of the British colonial state, both domestically & globally.
the Sovereign still has a significant place in the Brit political system. The govt is still known as ‘her majesty’s government,’ there to govern on her behalf. It is she who appoints the PM, not just in the UK, but in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and twelve other countries.

“He was just super kind, I want everyone to know that. He was gentle, he was extremely funny,"
Lenin (1916) on political violence: “We have always stood for the use of violence in the mass struggle and in connection with it. Secondly, we linked the struggle against terrorism with many years of propaganda, started long before December 1905, for an armed uprising..”
“We have regarded the armed uprising not only as the best means by which the proletariat can retaliate to the government’s policy, but also as the inevitable result of the development of the class struggle for socialism and democracy…” (Lenin)
“Thirdly, we have not confined ourselves to accepting violence in principle and to propaganda for armed uprising. For example, four years before the revolution we supported the use of violence by the masses against their oppressors, particularly in street demonstrations.” - Lenin
“English proletariat is actually becoming more and more bourgeois, so that this most bourgeois of all nations is apparently aiming ultimately at the possession of a bourgeois aristocracy and a bourgeois proletariat alongside the bourgeoisie.” - Engels, October, 1858
“…those very worst English trade unions which allow themselves to be led by men sold to, or at least paid by, the bourgeoisie.” Engels, Aug 1881 letter to Marx.
“what the Eng workers think about colonial policy. Well, exactly the same as they think about politics in general. There is no workers’ party here, only Conservatives & Liberal-Radicals, and the workers gaily share the feast of Eng’s monopoly of the world market n the colonies.”
