Most of the employees of the Ukrainian office of @amnesty had just resigned in the protest against @AgnesCallamard and the arrogance&manipulations over the report on Ukraine from the head office.
You know, the same civilians whose best interest Amnesty claims to have in heart?
The most heartbreaking part is that it's Ukrainian employees, who have to quit the job they loved and risk their financial security in times of war, so that @AgnesCallamard and @DRovera would be comfortable in fancy offices.
It's Agnes, who must resign.
#AgnesCallamardMustResign
Makes me think, may be it's not the Ukrainian military, but @amnesty, who actually "puts civilians in harms way"?
BTW the Ukrainian contractor translation team also severed the ties with @amnesty

Many human rights activists and IHR experts explained, why the "Breaking!" report of @amnesty on Ukraine was, to put it delicately, poorly contextualized.
As a sociologist, I want to explain, that this is also a poorly done piece of research, so 🧵
@amnesty (I will also share my thoughts on what, I believe, are the reasons for that)
As a quality qualitative researcher (pardon the tautology) you usually spend years learning to listen to others, understand them and place them in the social context.
You may proceed to conclusions only after doing that (provided the methodology also was sound).

There was never a civil war in the history of independent Ukraine.
That's it.
That's the tweet.
Russia likes to invent the pet names for the wars. WWII is called a "Great Patriotic War" there, and the phase between the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact and the attack on the Soviet Union genuinely does not exist in Russian version of world history.
In a same way, Russia called its invasion to Ukraine in 2014 "a civil war against the people of Donbas" and Western journalists, academics and politicians believed Russia and repeated after Russia.

This is Navalny's press-secretary, unhappy that Latvia is protecting their national security in a way it sees fit.
But of course Navalny is so different from Putin and has no imperial ambitions or habit to poke his nose into other countries businesses, right, right?
Russian liberals and opposition are indistinguishable from the ardent Putinists in their belief that their butt cheeks being comfortable is more important than other people's safety and lives.
There is plenty of legitimate concerns about Russian intelligence agents & saboteurs coming to the EU and Israel, but who cares, @Kira_Yarmysh is displeased, everyone should sacrifice their safety, because a Russian is slightly uncomfortable!

These tweets by @AgnesCallamard are the peak of cynicism.
The Ukrainian office of @amnesty documented the Russian war crimes. You know, the same office that asked you not to publish this report and wait for the comment of the ministry of defense and was ignored.
@AgnesCallamard @amnesty Here we go, one more international organization throwing Ukrainian employees and volunteers under the bus after ignoring literally everything they have to say.
How are you doing, @OSCE and @ICRC?
You've got company.
And I will not even comment on @AgnesCallamard playing the victim of the "Ukrainian mob" here.
You have a bunch of people upset at you online for you trying up for genocide.
People who are upset are dealing with genocide.
Get over yourself and be professional.
