Just curious as to why we’ve updated the lexicon on many topics but
still refer to the fundamental blocks for career development as ‘Soft Skills’?
There’s nothing soft about what will determine the strength or quality of your network & networth.
There’s no softness about your proficiency to influence change in others, society
and relationships.
Definitely nothing soft about what determines your career altitude…
Emotional Quotient, Political Quotient, Social Quotient, and Communication Quotient might not yet have formal metrics but yet to see a leader, who succeeded without displaying a high
proficiency in all 4.
Time to update the lexicon, soft skills should be called Core/Critical skills. #career
