“In total, the United States has now committed approximately $9.8 billion in security assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the Biden Administration. Since 2014, the United States has committed more than $11.8 billion in security assistance”
Great research work by @Aviation_Intel and @FranticGoat about the potential operational capabilities of Ukraine's longer range Grim-2/Hrim-2 ballistic missile system.
@Aviation_Intel@FranticGoat "It remains unknown whether Ukraine fired Grim-2/Hrim-2 missiles at Saki Airbase... At the same time, striking this base is exactly the kind of thing that might be seen as a very worthwhile use of what could easily be a very limited number of these weapons."
A note, last month Ukrainian forces targeted a highly capable surveillance radar in the area, one that was positioned well to pick up on any potential SRBM launches.
“In short, this war will look nothing like the status quo ante of conflict in Ukraine, and that undermines the first justification for U.S. aid: deterring Russia…
Some theories on this, the Russians have been firing 9M22S incendiary rockets over neighboring Mar'inka over the past few weeks. They control Donetsk so this may have been some sort of munition failure. Or it’s Ukrainian, but they haven’t really been seen using incendiary stuff.
Location, viewer is looking west towards the river, the spread of the falling thermite makes me think it came from the north or east.
