“In parallel the Swedish Government is continuing its efforts to establish conditions for a possible future support of JAS 39 Gripen fighters to Ukraine. Support package 17 does so by acquiring materiel parts for the JAS 39 Gripen worth approximately SEK 2.3 billion.

Materiel parts are JAS 39C/D parts that are being reused in the construction of new JAS 39E aircraft. By acquiring new materiel parts, a number of JAS 39C/D will be saved from being dismantled and can – if the Swedish government decides so – be considered for a possible future donation to Ukraine.”

A blaze has broken out at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in Ukraine this evening, sending up a large column of black smoke.

Ukrainian sources report that the Russians set tires on fire in the vicinity of one of the cooling towers.

Earlier tonight, Ukrainian forces successfully hit a Russian column roughly 30km behind the current frontline in Kursk Oblast.

The Russian column, moving on the E38 highway in Oktyabrskoe, was reportedly hit by a missile strike, losing multiple vehicles.

Overnight, after a Ukrainian missile strike, multiple explosions, flames, and at least one pillar of smoke were seen in the vicinity of Saky Airbase in Russian-occupied Crimea.

This morning, Russian milbloggers and locals reported damage at the airbase. Russian Air Force adjacent milblogger Fighterbomber opened with a message of “everlasting memory”

In a report just released from the Government Accountability Office, the Pentagon found another $2 billion in overvaluations of equipment delivered to Ukraine.
