We seem to have an answer from @MilaniCosmetics.
Rather than #ApologizeToAmberHeard and make amends for the harm they did to survivors, they’re blocking people who have called them out. If this is their crisis management strategy, it will not work.
If you look at any of @MilaniCosmetics recent tweets, the majority of the engagement is people asking them to be accountable for what they did.
But @MilaniCosmetics could actually fix this. They could issue a real apology, hold themselves accountable, & acknowledge that Amber Heard is a survivor. They could take action to show they will do better, will support survivors in the future, and prove they will be #crueltyfree
Laurie Minc, the founder of Milani, said the advice she would give to her younger self is: “Do not ignore the power of the internet and social media scene.” But that is exactly what @MilaniCosmetics is doing right now. And they are ignoring the pain they caused survivors.
Amber’s supporters aren’t going away. Survivors are not going away. @MilaniCosmetics cannot expect to profit off women while taking part in the systemic abuse they are subject to. They wanted to jump on a trend that wouldn’t quit, and this is the result.
The truth is out about what happened to Amber Heard and it’s not going away. We are asking @MilaniCosmetics to do the right thing and apologize to Amber and the survivors they hurt. Hiding from the harm they caused will not make people forget what they did.
So, the $3k were crowdsourced by Burkhart from Depp fans to get the unsealed documents which she then immediately used to slut shame Amber, posting out of context snippets about Amber’s past working in an exotic club.
