#BREAKING: There are reports that Russia's Saki Air Base in Novofedorivka, Crimea, has been hit by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Saki is a homebase of the 43rd Separate Naval Assault Aviation Regiment of the Black Sea Fleet (warplanes: Su-30SM, Su-24M, Su-24MP, Tu-134).
Saki Air Base is located around 200km from the nearest Ukrainian positions in Kherson Oblast.

Ex-adviser to the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs Viktor Andrusiv: "As you could understand, missiles with a range of 200-300 km [surely, he meant ATACMS] are already in service and are being used."
According to Readovka, in Crimea, people are being evacuated from the area. Locals say that no sirens were heard - it all started suddenly. At least ten explosions were said to be heard.

Okay so for the record, I see now that people are suggesting to take the statements of this guy with a huge grain of salt.
First official statement from the Russian MoD regarding the situation:
"The detonation of several aviation munitions occurred on the territory of the Saki airfield near Novofedorivka. After the explosion at the airfield, no one was injured, aviation equipment was not damaged."
The authorities of the Saki region of Crimea announced the evacuation of civilians from the area following the explosions in Novofedorivka.
A Russian Mil Mi-26 heavy transport helicopter was reportedly spotted in the area of Alushta in southern Crimea not long ago and headed towards Novofedorivka, where massive explosions took place at the Saki Air Base today.
A very short clip of what appears to be a Russian Sukhoi Su-24M attack plane destroyed in Ukrainian strikes that targeted Russia's Saki Air Base in Crimea on August 9.
Potentially a huge revelation: a Ukrainian official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told Washington Post that yesterday's attack on Russian air base in Novofedorivka was carried out by the Ukrainian special forces.
Apparently another Russian/NM DNR ammo depot (or two?) was hit by the Ukrainian military as two piles of smoke were seen and numerous secondary explosions were heard in the area of a railway station in Donetsk this evening.
Donetsk this evening.
