THREAD: On Monday night, Micki Witthoeft, mother of Ashli Babbitt, led a protest for Jan 6 defendants outside the DC jail, where several are still being detained pre-trial.
"It's a scary day to be a patriot," she says. "These men are being denied their constitutional rights."
I asked Ashli Babbitt's mother to respond to an apparently leaked, "sensitive" document which lists her daughter as a "martyr" to "militia violent extremists."
"It's heartbreaking" she says, but also condemns the doc's inclusion of symbols like the Bettsy Ross and Gadsden flags.
Every night at 9pm, January 6 defendants at the DC jail apparently sing the National Anthem.
The protesters outside the jail sang at the same time with them, and the inmates flickered lights on and off to be visible.
While it is really, really hard to see, my camera actually captured one of the inmates putting an American flag up to the slit of a window at the DC jail as the protesters outside sang the National Anthem.
David "Santa" Riddell, the leader of the "1776 Restoration Movement" also spoke outside the DC jail for January 6 detainees.
He compared the struggle to free them to the rescue of Michael Durant following the Black Hawk Down incident at the Battle of Mogadishu, Somalia.
Of course, the breaking news developing as the event took place was that former President Trump's home at #MarALago.
For reference, below is the FBI "sensitive" document I had asked Ashli Babbitt's mother about, which lists Babbitt as a "martyr" to "militia violent extremists."
As she pointed out, the Betsy Ross and Gadsden Flags are also included.
Requirements include working min “50 hours per week, which may include irregular hours, and be on-call 24/7, including holidays and weekends” and “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary.”
They “will combine accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes.”
“all income earned, both legal and illegal, has the potential of becoming involved in crimes which fall within the investigative jurisdiction of the IRS Criminal Investigation.”
While these newly hired feds are required to “Carry a firearm and be willing to use deadly force, if necessary,” the government adds that “Criminal Investigation Special Agents are part of a diverse workforce that mirrors the taxpaying public we serve.” jobs.irs.gov/resources/job-…
In footage sent to me today by @zdroberts, January 6 defendant Brandon Straka - who plead down from a felony to a misdemeanor and received probation - sat in a makeshift jail cell wearing an orange jump suit and MAGA cap at CPAC.
Some tried to throw him money through the bars.
As Straka demonstrated, @RepMTG joined him in the makeshift jail cell and knelt in front of him, apparently in prayer together.
"We don't often see a performance art piece at CPAC" Straka explained to @zdroberts after his demo.
"I wanted to basically draw attention to...the ways in which people are suffering right now in this country," he explained, adding that he doesn't support violence or criminality.
A retired police lieutenant is under investigation after they reportedly shot a special police officer to death this afternoon during a training inside a Southwest Washington DC library. fox5dc.com/news/special-p…
Line 1: “was killed”
Line 2: “a shooting”
Line 3: found victim
Line 4: victim “was a special police officer for the library”
Line 5: “the shooting happened…”
It’s 6/7 of the way through story before we read “the lieutenant fired a shot and stuck the special officer”
In @scooter_downey’s January 6 film, Ali Alexander - who was next to Alex Jones at the time - claims to have been in contact with the Trump campaign as the march to the Capitol following Trump’s speech began (and the Capitol’s outer perimeter had already been breached.)
Indeed, as I detail in this thread, Ali Alexander, Alex Jones, and Owen Shroyer led the Penn Ave march to the Capitol that followed the Trump Ellipse speech.
Neither Jones nor Alexander’s comms - if true - with Trump’s team have been seen by the public, but Jones’ could be soon.
Max Maurez, seen arrested below, has been ordered held in jail for the weekend according to his friend Paul.
After having been arrested several times, Max will apparently be put on home confinement with GPS monitoring after judge called him “Danger to the community.”
Statement from 15 defendants in a case from protesting in President Biden’s home town release a statement supporting Max Suarez, currently being held in Washington DC jail for several protests also demanding Biden and congress take stronger action on climate change.
Reporter @JordanOnRecord / @WUSA9 first reported on an unsealed "Court's Evaluation of Defendant's Cooperation" which says "Mr. Straka provided significant information" to the government and lists Ali Alexander, Michael Coudrey, Scott Presler (and more).
This is consistent with Straka's own plea agreement, which says "law enforcement to interview" him "regarding the events in and around January 6, 2021."
Straka signed this including "I fully understand this Agreement and agree to it without reservation" on September 14, 2021.
