Been playing around with this for months. Here is a Non-QB Offensive Talent index entering the 2022 NFL season. Each % represents the % above or below avg for that position.

I sorted by median score to reflect each teams true middle, but also includes their average scores.
Some #Bears notes:

- Darnell Mooney very well might push up to true WR1 territory this year, but based on his existing production he is a high end WR2 and low end WR1

- The offensive line is still below average, but adding Reiff and Schofield helps it a lot.
-Braxton Jones is probably be overvalued here (see rookie notes below)

- Using the median, the Bears offense comes in 29th

- Using the average, the Bears offense comes in 30th

- Ultimately, this offense lacks high end playmakers to offset the average to below average starters
Each "WR1" is weighed against the other 31 teams "WR1".

Flex represents each teams highest rated non-starter skill position player. Mostly RBs and WRs, but also includes one or two TEs. This is because not every teams RB2, WR4, or TE2 matters. But they all have one of the three.
The percentages factor in the following details:

- Age
- 3-Year Snap Counts
- 3-Year PFF Grades
- Contract AAV as a % of Cap
- Draft Capital
- OL: Prsrs & Sacks Allowed, Penalties
- Skill: Drops, Fumbles, Targeted INTs, Explosive Runs, 1st Downs, Touchdowns, Contested Catches
Here are the Rankings for WR1, WR2, WR3, and TE:
Here are the Rankings for RB, Flex, LT, and LG:
Here are the Rankings for C, RG, and RT:
The biggest dilemma I ran into with this was how to account for rookie starters. And I spent a lot of time trying to find the solution. Adding draft capital allocation was the best way I could find. I used the Rich Hill chart to represent it b/c it has the largest gap per pick.
Rookies are still not perfect in here, but I think it's the best representation I can get. I also tried using an average of recent picks, but the data got too messy for my liking pretty quickly when trying to do that.
