The moment Katsuki entered UA, that's when he really realized how impressive he was.
His companions did not stop telling him how surprised they were by his brutal fighting style.
Although his character was not to the liking of many, his enormous talent and fighting acumen classified him as a potential hero.
But what fed his ego the most were the comments from the students regarding his love life.
Everyone said the same thing; that he was extraordinary, handsome, and talented, so the person who managed to catch the popular Katsuki within his nets should be equally unique.
This person must be a walking beauty and that they could be on a par with him and not be a burden.
That is why he felt no remorse when he saw his boyfriend's tearful face at the moment of telling him that he wanted to break up with him after an exciting three years.
He couldn't understand it. How could he settle for Izuku?
He wasn't outstanding in any way. Although his beauty had captivated Katsuki, he realized it was nothing special after socializing with various people in UA who were practically walking gods.
Izuku wasn't even that smart compared to the rest. He didn't have the best grades, and he was okay with it.
But worst of all, he was quirkless.
What would happen if someone from UA found out that Katsuki Bakugo, the promising student, was in a relationship with someone so simple and unimpressive?
So, without delay, he ended his relationship with Izuku and entirely focused on his studies to become the number one hero.
So why, years after graduating from UA, has he not managed to be in a relationship with someone else?
They all said the same thing; his attitude, impulsiveness, and aggressive and arrogant character made him a complete bastard, and they didn't want to stay near him.
He really tried everything. Dates in romantic places, flowers, flirtatious smiles, but everything ended the same.
None of his relationships made it past two months.
And no matter how hard he tried, he could still recall that pair of teary green eyes within his memory.
It didn't take long to find the whereabouts of the greenette.
He knew that Izuku was working in different agencies doing who knows what. None of his superiors told him what Izuku's job was, nor did they let him get close to him.
And then, time just passed without being able to get any contact with his ex.
Years later, Katsuki was at a ceremony congratulating those who made it into the top ten. He could see how some of his ex-colleagues were nervous upon receiving such a significant award, and jealousy did not wait.
How was it possible that he didn't even make the top twenty, but other losers who were with him in the past did?
"Bro, there's smoke coming out of your palms. Calm down a bit, okay?" Kirishima said as he gave him a supportive smile.
Katsuki rolled his eyes but still tried to do what he told him.
"He's right, Bakubabe. You should relax a bit."
Mina mentioned as she stuck her tongue out at him mockingly. “Still, who would believe that Todoroki would become hero number three? That's great!"
"Mina, enough," Sero said as he surreptitiously pointed at Katsuki. She pouted and crossed her arms without following the conversation.
Apparently, everyone knew how upset Katsuki was, and they didn't want to keep feeding his irritation with the situation.
At some point during the performance, after handing out congratulations to each hero, retired hero Endeavor made his appearance on stage, causing gasps of surprise from the audience.
Since the old number one hero retired, he decided to focus entirely on his agency and trained the new heroes. He made no further public appearances until that day, and Katsuki focused wholly on him.
“I would like to congratulate someone in particular.” the moment his voice went over the speakers of the place, everyone was completely silent, listening to his words. “This person had an important role in one of our missions.
I think everyone remembers the different child abductions that happened months ago."
Several people began to murmur as they remembered what had happened.
Various cases of kidnapped children in the country caused panic in society, and after arduous months they managed to rescue hundreds of them without any casualties.
“This person not only risked his life by obtaining information on the whereabouts of the victims but also helped us as heroes by conducting a deep analysis on those who kept them.
He was the reason we weren't caught off guard by his use of their quirks since we knew beforehand what they were and how to defeat them."
Katsuki didn't know about it.
He knew that various heroes were requested to rescue these people, but he never imagined that one person was behind it all.
"This person never asked for anything in return, but still, I can't let the public not know who it was who gave us the victory in our hands."
Endeavor continued speaking while Katsuki couldn't help but hear the varied murmurs around him, all talking about this person's supposed identity.
"Do you know who it could be?" Sero asked Kirishima as he closed the distance with his group to avoid speaking too loudly.
"No idea." He replied while shaking his head. “I have never heard of anyone else regarding that mission, have any of you?”
Everyone shook their heads except Katsuki. He was watching the hero on stage with all his attention. Who could be the person who is so significant that the former number one hero has to mention it and thank him?
That pisses him off.
Applause echoed throughout the hall as some heroes bowed in appreciation for Endeavor's show of support.
"And without further ado, I would like to invite Izuku Midoriya on stage."
Many people stood up and began to clap, making way for whoever had to go to the stage, and Katsuki couldn't believe it.
In front of him, the greenette was getting up from his chair and covering his mouth with his hands. Probably from the astonishment of being called.
He was a little higher than the last time he saw him. Although his hair still had the same uncontrolled curls, his hairstyle was different, making him look more mature.
And apparently, Katsuki could see a bit of makeup adorning those bright green eyes that haunted him so much in his dreams.
And so, the murmurs and conversations within the audience were immediate and only managed to fuel Katsuki's irritation.
None of these extras knew Izuku before today, and now they're hungry for him?
Hah! As if it were possible.
But when he finally turned around to make fun of those comments with his friends, he realized they were all staring at the greenette.
"He's quite a hottie, especially with that ass he brings with him," Mina said while the rest of the group nodded in total agreement. Kirishima acted offended by such a comment coming from his girlfriend, but he didn't decide to correct her.
Katsuki could see how Kirishima's eyes went straight to Izuku's lower part, and Katsuki saw red.
Really?!
Fucking Shitty Hair too?!
"What the fuck do you see in that damn freak?"
Katsuki asked as he crossed his arms, ignoring the feeling of discomfort that grew on his chest as he noticed all the strangers trying to talk to Izuku.
"Dude, chill," Sero said while the rest of the group gave him a strange look. "Why so upset with the stranger?"
"Because none of you know him!" Katsuki yelled, standing up abruptly from his chair, drawing the attention of a couple of people around him. "He's nothing special. He's just a fucking quirkless idiot who has nothing better to do in life-"
"I see you haven't changed, Kacchan."
All eyes in the audience focused on Izuku as he made his way to stand in front of Katsuki.
And the blond couldn’t help the loud swallow when he saw how empty of emotion his eyes were, which had been full of life minutes ago.
Does Izuku really dislike him enough to see him like that?
"I think I have to make something clear," Izuku said as he raised his voice so that everyone present could hear him.
“Yes, I am quirkless, and perhaps for many of you, that means an impediment to being a hero. I also thought about it many times and was about to give up on my dream, but someone I met years ago told me to keep going and taught me to have confidence in my abilities and strengths.
I want to thank him, including all the heroes present that day, because they were the reason the operation was a complete success. Thanks to them, it was possible to arm me with the courage to help in such a mission.
Thanks to the former number one hero for having placed his complete trust in me, in someone who was not recognized by the public nor accepted by them. Without him, none of this would have been possible.”
Izuku turned and bowed in Endeavor's direction, turning his back on Katsuki, making him almost feel nauseous for his treatment.
The audience erupted in applause, many exclaiming that his quirkless status didn't matter and simply congratulating him for doing such an incredible job despite all the limitations he lived through.
And while everyone was distracted, no one noticed the look of pity that Izuku directed in Katsuki's direction before walking away from his side.
Nor did anyone notice how abruptly his breath stopped when he watched as the current number three hero, Shoto Todoroki, placed a long kiss on Izuku's lips without caring if people were watching them.
That's when he noticed it. Katsuki could only stare at the sparkling ring that adorned Izuku's hand.
And while he tried to swallow the lump that had formed in his throat, he could only notice how Izuku's eyes lit up entirely by the mere presence of the hero.
Like those crying eyes that tormented him at night, they managed to look with so much love at someone else.
And all because of him.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been really sick these days, but I promise I'll start updating regularly.
Thanks for the support! 💜

In a world where heaven and hell are behind each other, humans find themselves in the middle of it. Angels and demons are in charge of moving influences.
They are the ones that give you that little push to do something that you did not dare to do by yourself, and they whisper in your ear in your moments of weakness.
They can be the cause of your future dreams or your nightmares.
They live among humans, hiding their true identity so as not to be discovered.
The demons are capable of doing anything they please but aren't allowed to break the rules established by their king.
Katsuki knew. He knew that Izuku was cheating on him.
One day, his concern arose when Izuku told him that he would spend the night with his friends, only to find out that the nerd was not only not there but that the supposed meeting never existed.
From that point on, he began to notice more things: how exhausted he was after work, the extra time it took to get home, not specifying places he was going to go, and other things.
But what broke Katsuki's patience was finding out that Izuku had changed the password on his cell phone.
He never, /NEVER/, checked his cell phone without the nerd's permission, so why change it?
Izuku and Katsuki have been secretly dating for a year since their graduation. It was Izuku who confessed to Katsuki, and he accepted without hesitation.
They were going strong, and although no one knew of their relationship, most people knew them as the ‘Wonder Duo.’, the saviors of Japan and possible candidates, according to most civilians, to be heroes one and two in the future.
Everything was going well until Hero Dynamight had to go alone on a special mission outside the country, and Hero Deku had to stay behind to continue protecting his city.
Three months passed, and after a long wait, Katsuki finally returned.
