Using SorareData better 🧵

Here are 7 really useful features on @SorareData which I believe are being under-utilised by many players, including both S05 and trading tools.

#sorare
1. Home/Away scoring split

We all know that fixture difficulty can be heavily impacted by being H/A, but specific players may be impacted more/less by this.

When looking at a player's scores, toggle the H and A in the top right, to include only Home/Away games.
This feature helped me massively this GW, when I was deciding to play Anton Miranchuk or not.

The images above show his scoring H/A, he is far better at home, so I picked him and he scored 94pts.

In contrast, here is Thuram's H/A, where there isnt such a significant change.
2. SorareData Auction alerts

On the SD app, you can click the little bell on a player auction, to bring up the notification options.

You can set a reminder for 5mins before the end, or sometimes I will set 'After each bid' so I know if it goes over my target price.
3. Watchlist Auctions/Offers page

When buying cards, I will often create a new watchlist for things like 'Undervalued cards' 'GW298 Underdog' or 'Chal D3 upgrades' etc.

The auction/offers tab on a watchlist page shows me the auctions only for the cards on my watchlist...
...rather than all my favourites when using the favourites tab on Sorare.

The prices tab is also great on watchlists, allowing me to see, for example, which of the u23 Champ players I'm watching have gone down in price, so I can buy cheaper.
4. Match Odds in the Lineup Builder

I'm sure most people have seen this feature, but the Matchday odds are a great indicator of who has good fixtures, compared to using the Oppo. Average.

You can sort by most favourable fixtures, as bookies tend to be most accurate.
While I like the Oppo. Average score, it doesnt consider the variations in scoring/play style of different players within one position.

For example, a deep defending, counterattack side, may be good to play against if you're a DLP who racks up passes, but if you...
...are an offensive winger who relies on decisives, this may not be a good fixture.

While match odds dont capture that difference either, they give a broader indication of the fixture difficulty.
5. Highest-to-Lowest Roster price variation

I love this feature as its a really low-effort tool for a really difficult skill of timing a sale.

By ordering from H-L Week variation, you can see which players have risen in price over the last week.
Although it may sometimes use floor price, for liquid cards it is a great indicator that a player's price is rising.

I also use it to see when cards have gone down in price without my exit plan changing, allowing me to 'double-down' at a lower price.
6. My Gallery Injuries page

I'm not sure when this was added but I've only been using it recently, SD collate info from reputable injury sources and present it to you, personalised for your gallery.
It saves you a load of time doing research, as for more public injuries they will display the timeline/severity etc.
7. Stats page - Set Piece Takers

Both for your gallery or on watchlists, SD show a variety of stats, including which players take set pieces.

Again, this saves you research, as there is no way to see corner/FK takers on Sorare or SD when looking at a player's scores.
SD are constantly improving the site, so I'm sure there are plenty more features going under the radar for Sorare users.

These are some of my personal favourites, and I hope they help you all too.

How to earn the ETH threshold #1 - Home Advantage 🧵

With the change in system used for hitting the ETH threshold, we need to adapt our approach.
But some people may not want to trade in/out of cards.

Here is a solution…

#sorare
Our Problem - we need to hit 250pts using players who average no more than 240 points combined.

Our Preference - we don’t want to be trading cards week-to-week (which may be the obvious way to beat the new threshold).
Our Solution - exploiting players who score above their average when playing at home.

If you're gonna nutmeg Zidane, you need to get your redraft right.

Yet your competition think the same, so how do we select our reinforcements?

Here are the key factors you must consider to maximise your Global Cup redraft.

#sorare
First, some quick details on the redraft game mechanic

- Before the R16, you’re given 50pts to spend.

- You must buy 1 player from each position, for a total of 4 players.

(These two previous rules apply to ALL THREE redrafts.)
- There are 3 redrafts in total, before R16, Quarters and Semifinals, so every knockout round but the final.

- Prices change based on results. Netherlands players increased in value by around 2-5 points after the win. But French players have not changed at the time of writing.

TFC MD3 Selection 🏆

Breaking down my picks for the final group stage game of the TFC Rookie World Cup competition ⚽️

#TFC Image
This is by far the toughest MD of the tournament, with 2 additional factors that weren't so significant in the previous matchdays.

Rotation - with the third group game in quick succession, players will be rotated more than before.
The main reasons for rotation in MD3 will be resting, testing or tactical changes.

I’ve chosen to be aggressive with my picks, and not be too heavily concerned with rotation as the best assets for smaller reams are so hard to pick and top players can score from the bench.

Tactical Variations in S05 Competitions 🎲

A thread of tips and tricks for each S05 competition, to help you exploit the meta and win cards.

AS

As this allows any league, it is financially optimal to use cheaper regions (Asia/America) rather than more expensive European cards.
There is nothing wrong with using EU cards, but this allows you to win the more expensive EU cards while using the cheaper Asia/Am cards.
In Rare, a lot of lineups will be entered for threshold rather than for cards, so don't be intimidated by entries.

The scores in this comp. fluctuate less than regionals, as fixture swings for certain teams are cancelled out by others. Image

How to trade Special competitions 💰

This thread breaks down a really easy and effective low-budget trading method, which can easily make you 0.1+eth a week from a 0.3+eth investment.

#sorare
Trading players used in limited special competitions is a really effective method as the 'meta' players change week to week.

In specialists, most people buy at least one card for their lineup, because the u40 average cap is so restrictive.
Because they only care about the player for that given GW, prices can rise rapidly as that player is significantly better in this single GW, than they usually would be.

Therefore, our trading opportunity comes from identifying these meta players for a single GW, before...

10 of the best Football books to further your knowledge of the beautiful game ⚽️

#sorare Image
The Numbers game, @DavidSally6 & Christopher Anderson -
In my opinion the best book out there for developing your knowledge and understanding of football. My book is full of turned pages and scribbles highlighting actionable advice, often challenging common beliefs. Image
It’s an overall look at football performance using numbers, but rather than being super technical or analytical the book explains the theories clearly with examples and anecdotes, then backs them with numbers or facts.
