So New Hampshire, I have a story to tell you.

I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and just had a bilateral mastectomy.

No history of breast cancer in my family, best guess is that it’s environmentaly triggered (as is the majority of cancer cases.)

#PFAS #PFOS #EPA
I’m not alone, there are a ton of cancer cases in our town of Merrimack. THREE cases of colon cancer just in my neighborhood. We’ve got kids with cancer, tons of women with breast cancer, men with prostate cancer, kidney cancers.

#NHPolitics
Hell even our cats and dogs (our canaries in the coal mine) are dying off with cancer and skin tumors.

I live 3 miles from our polluter, I was told by our state that I had nothing to worry about. You live too far away, your well is not impacted.

@EWGPrez @ewg
Our private well has been shut down since 2016 when *I* had it tested for PFAS chemicals and it tested at toxic levels. We installed a whole house filtration system and an RO filter.
About 2 years ago, our town’s industrial polluter started having bottled water delivered to our house. That’s what we use to drink and cook with. We still have to use the PFAS water to wash and bathe.
I am one of the Water Warriors in Merrimack. I’ve worked on legislation limiting PFAS and setting guidelines, I’ve organized protests against our polluter, and I helped establish a committee to educate the general public about PFAS.
Theoretically, I have had reduced exposure to PFAS since 2016. We have filtered our water, I don’t use products that contain PFAS. We paid attention.

I decided to have my blood tested for PFAS/PFOS chemicals after I was diagnosed with breast cancer.

@EPAMichaelRegan
I have 12 PFAS/PFOS chemicals in my blood that are over the toxic level allowed for humans.

My total PFOS (linked to breast cancer) is 38 times the toxic level allowed for humans.
My total PFAS (linked to ovarian cancer) is literally off the chart. I have more PFAS in my blood than over 99% of Americans.

As a result, we are having discussions about whether I should preventively have my ovaries removed.
Profit over people. How is this not considered criminal?

This is what it is like to live in a town in NH that is polluted with carcinogenic chemicals by a company headquartered in France.
We keep giving up pieces of our bodies so that St. Gobain shareholders can continue to see strong quarterly earnings.
