The meetings under the CARM-INDOSIN HLC include the following:

1.The TNI-SAF Annual Staff Meeting (TSASM)

2.Indonesia-Singapore Joint Intelligence Committee (ISJIC)

3.Indonesia-Singapore Joint Operations and Exercises Committee (ISJOEC)

4. Indonesia-Singapore Joint Education & Specific Program Committee (ISJESPC)

5. Indonesia-Singapore Joint Logistics Committee (ISJLC)

6. Indonesia-Singapore Joint Working Group (ISJWG)

7. Services working groups

Last week, Gen. Andika met with PM Lee & also co-chaired the 23rd Combined Annual Report Meeting Indonesia-Singapore High Level Committee with Lt-Gen Ong. They discussed ways to deepen the close & long-standing relations between the SAF & the TNI.

IMO, the SAF has no choice — greater collaboration with the TNI is the way forward for both Indonesia & Singapore.

Singaporeans need to temper our romanticism about alignment of interests w Indonesians, given the prata like flip-flops of politicians in Jakarta.

The steady hand of Jokowi 2.0 economic policies could be over turned in just one term of the next Indonesian president.

For the sake of the future, I am hoping that Jokowi’s second term will not represent the high water mark of cooperation; & increased collaboration still has legs.

Impt backgrounder on Gen. Andika & #supergarudashield — while it is unlikely he can win the Feb 2024 election as a Presidential candidate, he could well be tapped as a future VP or as a future minister (to gain experience).
