Every Federal University answers to itself alone, but if it is funded by the government, shouldn't @GovNigeria have control over how it discourses its own funds? #ASUUWhy

ASUU has been spreading rumors that the IPPIS system is centralised in Abuja and that in some event, people have been left with no choice than to travel to Abuja. #ASUUWhy

This is completely false. Every issue is solved locally. Even before IPPIS, payment issues at university levels were reffered to the school bursar.

With the IPPIS, the bursar is still the one who attends to all challenging issues, only that this time, it is online; the bursar collates the reports and send electronically.

It's all in the cloud and nobody has to go to Abuja. All of the range of reports are there; from tax issues to deductions and the whole process is seamless.

The bursars have the access and the bursars have a separate portal, allowing them to report these things. The issues are then resolved and the claims are then verified before disbursement is made.

It is a process. There are liaison offices, there is a chain of command and the IPPIS respects this. Why is ASUU now objecting to a platform that allows the government account for its own funds? #ASUUWhy

The process to incident resolution on IPPIS.
1. Raise an issue
2. The issue is assigned to the bursar/hr of each institution
3. The hr/bursary verifies if this is an incident or human error. If it is an incident s/he approves and escalates to the IPPIS HELPDESK

4. IPPIS Helpdesk works on resolution
5. Incident is resolved.

The lifespan of an incident is dependent on the kind of issue and if there's need for verification or investigation.

The FG has save a lot of money by deploying IPPIS.
