The political campaigns are in top gear. One of such things that will be prevalent in this period is the spread of misinformation/disinformation to discredit each other with attendant implications to cause mischief and chaos in our dear land, Nigeria.
We therefore say #NoToDisinformation. A recent occurrence is the distortion of facts as seen with the Aisha Buhari’s picture, where the logo she painted on her palms was interpreted as codedly telling Nigerians that AC Presidential Candidate is 88 years old. #NoToDisinformation

INTRODUCTION OF NEW NAIRA NOTES BY CBN
This is the situation on this currency change:
1). So many Nigerians have stacked Naira notes in their closets and are cut up with this policy of the CBN. There is a rush by ignorant Nigerians to convert their Naira to Dollars.
Naira is at all time low against dollar and it's going to go even lower. For example a man converts #10m to 12,500 USD at the current exchange rate. #CBNNewNaira

One of the primary cause of disagreement between ASUU and @GovNigeria on IPPIS is that of sabbaticals. The agreement allows for a lecturer to have only one sabbatical at a singular University. This can be either as a visiting lecturer or on a sabbatical. #ASUUWhy
This implies that a lecturer can not do his/her sabbatical in so many universities. what a lot of lecturers do is they go on Sabbatical while still enrolled in their primary University. They go on to 3 or 4 more universities or institutions in visiting capacity. #ASUUWhy

Today, with uncertainties clouding crude oil revenue, the non-oil sector has become the alternative for economic survival – if those who know how to tap the revenue are saddled with the enormous responsibility.

The issue of payslip on IPPIS and being unable to access payslips for years as complained about by some of the lecturers. IPPIS is an end-to-end payment system, the payslip is on the portal, it is already there. The log-in details are there with you. #ASUUWhy
If for one reason or the other, the portal cannot be accessed. You get a mail monthly, it is automated and you can use that to track as well. Other federal employees do not have issues with this. #ASUUWhy

IPPIS was developed indigenously and runs on SOFTSUITE which is an enterprise solution developed solely by an indigenous IT firm based in Lagos, Nigeria. #ASUUWhy
IPPIS has the capacity to manage a limitless number of employees. The issue is therefore not the number of people the IPPIS can manage or enrol at any point in time. #ASUUWhy

We need to ask ASUU why its insisting it has taken industrial action over the enrollment into the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) scheme. #ASUUWhy
The questions are, why is ASUU afraid of the IPPIS initiative, what are their reasons behind their reasons behind their objection? Can employees dictate to employers? #ASUUWhy

The write up credited to one Dr. Musbau Akinbode titled “Osinbajo’s Stealth Christianization Agenda” which has been circulating of recent in the social media is FALSE.
Although no date was ascribed to the write up, it appears to be a rehash of several baseless allegations made in the past against the VP, many of whom have been debunked with apologies issued by unsuspecting media houses misled into publishing some of the concocted stories.
