We’ll begin with this clip of Dr Littman explaining ROGD
1/10
On August 16, 2018, PLOS ONE published @LisaLittman1’s study of 256 parental reports of adolescents experiencing a phenomenon described by Littman as ‘Rapid Onset Gender Dysphoria’ #ROGD
In this Youtube video Dr Littman gives her hypothesis on ROGD: 2/10
Littman coined the term #ROGD to describe this unexplained phenomenon.
In this compelling Youtube clip Dr Dave Bell describes the concerns in GIDS at the Tavistock about these GD teens

One might think the risk of being sued by the families of over 230 Irish children, some as young as five, who were referred to a discredited gender identity in clinic 1/7 independent.ie/irish-news/hea…
..between 2011 and 2021,would give the HSE pause for thought.
"But the Irish health authorities "seems intent on doubling down — with reports that “the HSE will continue to use the Tavistock clinic until services close in the UK next year”." 2/7
The HSE can't police themselves:
Dr Siobhán Ní Bhriain, [HSE lead for integrated care] "was asked if the HSE had listened to Moran’s concerns.
'We did of course take them on board... but we satisfied ourselves that the evidence wasn’t there to support what we were hearing.'"3/7
Thread on this great article giving singular information about Ireland:
Almost unbelievably it is "revealed that between January and May this year 17 children were referred to the gender identity development service at the Tavistock Centre in London." 1/ thetimes.co.uk/article/hse-is…
DEspite the fact that the NHS announced the closure of the Tavistock clinic due to safety concerns after a damning independent review by Dr Hilary Cass, citing concerns "about the unknown long-term effects of puberty blockers on children’s bones and brain maturation." 2/
The HSE (health authorities in Ireland) are ignoring this and instead look to their own 2019 review where they deemed the Tavistock as "appropriate". Really? Have the HSE the ability to adequately judge this? 3/
It's nice to see the @IrishTimes finally wondering about what happened to 238 Irish kids in the Irish Tavistock.
'Primary and secondary care staff told the review that they felt under pressure to adopt an “unquestioning affirmative approach”.' 1/3 irishtimes.com/opinion/2022/0…
'The Review says that young people who have gender identity issues deserve the same standard of care they can expect elsewhere in the health services – a multi-disciplinary, evidence-based approach with appropriate protocols and record-keeping.' 2/3
'The lack of these foundational practices has led to the planned closure next year of the Tavistock'.
'Sonia Appleby, a child safeguarding expert “at the end of a blameless professional career in a senior position”, received compensation for detriment due to whistleblowing' 3/
1/The time has come for you to choose: should gender dysphoric youth be treated with chemical and surgical castration, or with exploratory therapy first? We are not asking about the exceptions; we are asking you to pick the rule.
2/For the last 3 years, your members have been asking you to reconsider your policy that says "affirmation" is the only reasonable path. You continue to double down that "affirmation" with social transition, puberty blockers, and surgery is the only way. pediatrics.aappublications.org/lookup/doi/10.…
"The notion that some people are ‘born in the wrong body’ belongs right up there with belief in phrenology (the Victorians), ‘wandering wombs’ (ancient Greece) or the vital medical balancing of ‘the four humours’, blood, phlegm, yellow bile and black bile
"...(Hippocrates). We’ve come a long way, you say? Maybe not. Having embraced wrong-body folklore, ideologues are pumping children full of puberty blockers with no clue about the long-term consequences of this experimental off-label medication for their patients..."
"...No one really knows the results of cross-sex hormones over a lifetime delivered at scale. The drugs are distributed like Smarties anyway."
Finally the world will wake up to the terrible treatment that vulnerable kids have been subjected to. 1/7 thetimes.co.uk/article/4e7fc5…
"Lawyers expect about 1,000 families to join a medical negligence lawsuit alleging vulnerable children have been misdiagnosed and placed on a damaging medical pathway."
They are accusing GIDS at the Tavistock of "multiple failures in its duty of care." 2/7
"This includes allegations it recklessly prescribed puberty blockers with harmful side effects and adopted an “unquestioning, affirmative approach” to children identifying as transgender." 3/7
