To succeed as an entrepreneur, you must have some enterprising characteristics. Entrepreneurs provide value, a service or a gap in the market to fulfill a need.
There are characteristics & traits that distinguish great entrepreneurs from others and some of these are:
a. Passion
b. Self-belief
c. Self-awareness
d. Grit
e. Ability to take some knocks & fail & the ability to bounce back
A lot of people do not realize who they are and how far they can go. So, they step into the world of entrepreneurs & when vicissitude hit them, they get discouraged.
Entrepreneurships should strive to have a mentor, a coach or both and always seek feedback. Wherever you are, review where you are, find the gap & look for the best person in that field who can mentor you.
Having a high level of self-awareness enables you to see your blind spot. Have a huge dose of emotional intelligence, humility & listening skills and critical thinking skills.
As a leader, you must ask yourself "how do I make my team to follow me and run with the company's vision & strategy?" These are all rooted in self-awareness as an entrepreneur.
It is important for you to always give back also. There are groups giving back to entrepreneurs now, so identify which one works best for your situation & be a part of it.
Competitive advantage is about how one business differentiates itself from another in such way that the target customer will show preference over that business.
