Wooooof.

Officials that @rupasubramanya cited in her column claiming there was "no" scientific basis for COVID mandates are at committtee.

They just skewered her claims.
"What media failed to report was that Transport Canada tabled and provided extensive evidence, scientific evidence on the rationale for the vaccine mandate," said Michael Keenan, deputy minister at Transport Canada.
"That was not in the media report, but it was in the testimony, in the filings of Transport Canada," Keenan said.

"We would be happy, if it would serve the committee, to provide a copy of that information that was actually presented by Transport Canada in court."
He added that "significant health evidence was provided to Transport Canada throughout the entire period of COVID...for months and months and months before the vaccine mandate, as well as after."

Global News has confirmed the name of the organizer of the James Topp march, which multiple politicians -- including Pierre Poilievre and Maxime Bernier -- attended.

The development prompted fresh questions from experts about political vetting processes.
Stephanie McEvoy, who self-described on social media as the Ottawa organizer for the June 30 march involving James Topp, was named on the City of Ottawa permit application as the "primary event contact."

Global News has obtained a copy of the permit application.
McEvoy did not respond to multiple requests for comment.

In 2018, McEvoy spoke at a small protest, which local media at the time described as anti-immigration and anti-Trudeau.

White nationalist Kevin Goudreau, who has a swastika tattooed on his chest, was at the protest.

Oh, sorry Jon.

I didn't realize we owed you "platinum-status bubble-wrap treatment" in the face of "online criticism."

By the way -- Jon here just agreed that we played the "victim schtick" when we called out rape and death threats.

So what does that make this? ⬇️

“If there was ever going to be violence from us, from our crowd, you are definitely, 100 per cent, not going to have any time to fucking tweet about it.”

That was Jeremy Mackenzie on his livestream last night, speaking about journalists.
In this clip, he says people should hate journalists as much as they hate “cancer.”

“With every means of their ability, they should despise you,” he said.
I hesitated to tweet this part because the (false) things he says about me are so degrading, but this is an unvarnished look at the misogyny female journalists face.

Anyways, I should probably start paying rent for how much time I seem to spend in this man’s mind.

The @OttawaPolice finally called me back so I could report a death threat.

The interaction made my jaw drop. This is NOT how victims should be treated.

Right off the bat, I was scolded for not saying hello (I did, my AirPods just cut out).

Then it got worse. So I recorded it.
I read the part of the threat out to the officer where I’m named and called a “cunt.”

Not long after, she says “so you’re not specifically named?”

TW: racist, sexist language.

(Twitter only lets me upload video, so I’m playing my recording out loud here.)

In case you were wondering what reporting a death threat while trying to work looks like:
I wrote an entire article while on hold lmao

Poilievre's team sent this to me on Tuesday in response to my request for comment.

It read like a press release then.

I guess it *was* a press release.

Here are the questions I asked, which - instead of answering - he replied to by calling me "unprofessional."

1/5
Does Mr. Poilievre feel he has a responsibility to distance himself from movements that call for actions that violate Canadian law and the principles of our democracy?

2/5
Does he have concerns that his support of figures like Topp, and his silence when Topp’s ties to figures like Mackenzie are revealed, could be interpreted as endorsing such far-right views?
