The 21st century is ruled by data and hence, the demand for efficient #DataScientists continues to rise exponentially.

Here are some critical data science skills that are required to be employable and excel in this profession.

🔹Save this for future reference.

🧵👇
🔹 A strong foundation of the fundamentals

Understanding the basics of ML, AI, and data science is essential. One has to understand the differences between DL and ML and the distinctions between business analytics, data science, and data engineering.
🔹 Proficiency in Programming

Python, Perl, C/C++, SQL, and Java are the various programming languages required to excel in data science roles. Due to high support for deep learning and the availability of libraries, Python is the most popular.
🔹 Statistics

Statistics is the grammar of data science. It is crucial to learn it before one can produce high-quality models. Descriptive statistics concepts like mean, median, mode, standard deviation and variance are essential as well as various probability distributions, etc
🔹 Data visualization

Building a story just out of visualizations requires creativity. Data scientists need to work seamlessly with histograms, pie charts, and bar charts, and they move upwards to advanced ones like thermometer charts, waterfall charts, etc.
🔹 Deep learning

Due to rapid advancements in data storage capabilities, deep learning is a high-growth vertical in the Artificial Intelligence field. Starting with building basic models, one needs to move to advanced models like RNN, CNN, and more.
🔹 Big Data

The rise of the internet has led to a massive quantity of data generation. Big Data technology is required to handle, store properly, and use it efficiently when needed. Big Data requires mastering framework tools like Hadoop, Spark, Flink, and Apache Storm.
🔸 Apart from the evident technical skills required to become a successful data scientist, there are some essential soft skills one must also imbibe. Structured thinking and good communication skills are top of the charts. Data science is constantly evolving.
🔸 In the future of Data Science, many advancements still await, so if one has the penchant for dabbling in large quantities of data and the necessary inclination toward programming languages, this is the perfect industry to seek success.
