So now the question is more urgent than ever: why did Trump keep those hundreds of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago (despite official demands to hand them back), and what did he intend to do with them?
Also: did Trump make copies or notes from those classified documents he illicitly kept? Did he convey information from them to foreign governments or non-government actors who should not have them? And if so, what was his motive?
Any chance he was going through more such classified documents when he made a rare visit to Trump Tower earlier this month?
