In the Izyum area, Russia is still trying to push south from Brazhkivka toward Nova Dmytrivka (1). I saw videos of Russian artillery strikes around Sulyhivka that reinforced my hesitation to mark Sulyhivka and Brazhkivka as Russian controlled. I believe both are gray areas.
It appears that Russia pushed Ukraine out of the quarry in Soledar (2), but it is unclear if Russia controls the quarry yet.
There is ongoing fighting in Soledar and Bakhmutske (3). These are important for the defense of Bakhmut, although not necessarily critical for the Ukrainian defensive strategy.
Russia has captured Zaitseve and Dacha. This likely happened on Saturday, and I marked it as a gray area seeking confirmation. It was confirmed today.
Russia is attacking in the direction of Kurdyumivka through Dacha (4) and attacking Mayorsk to the west (5). Mayorsk is a fortified train station.
Russia captured significant ground west of Pisky and north of Lozove (6). They may have also captured territory north of Staromykhailivka, but I did not find confirmation. Russia seeks to capture the tiny town of Nevelske (A).
Russia used heavy artillery fire to weaken Blahodatne, then used a large armored force to push into the southern part of the town, followed by TOS-1 thermobaric weapons to clear out the northern part of the town. Now it appears that Russia controls most of Blahodatne.
Ukraine hit the Antonovskiy Bridge and the bridge over the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Dam with HIMARS today. On the Antonovskiy Bridge, Ukraine happened to hit either (or both!) a crew repairing the bridge or a logistics truck carrying ammunition. It resulted in a large fire.
The latest numbers claim two dead, three missing, and sixteen wounded. Reportedly, the attack injured at least one person on a ferry under the bridge. Russian sources claim the bridge is now impassible.

Russia shelled Kharkiv a half dozen times today, including hitting the Shevchenkivskyi district three times. Russia is firing rockets into the city tonight. There is also heavy shelling along the line of contact, where Ukrainian artillery engage in successful counter-battery fire
Kharkiv didn’t get shelled last night, an uncommon luxury in recent weeks. However, rescuers found three more bodies in the rubble of the hostel Russia bombed on August 18th, which brought the death toll to 18.
Generally speaking, Russia is performing recon-in-force throughout the Kharkiv area to find weaknesses in the Ukrainian defenses, but Russians are suffering high casualties in these actions.
Igor wants russia to put him in charge of defending Sevastopol.
btw this is his improvised weapon he says a smart person would use. I’m not joking.
“I cant believe you idiots arent doing anything to defend the city. okay so first you take like 30 machine guns and then you weld them together and then attach a handle and then put that on a ball mount. simple. i cant believe you IDIOTS didnt think of this. hire me pls.
Russians fired artillery along the line of contact in the Kharkiv area, targeting civilians and Ukrainian forces, and the shelling killed several civilians. Ukrainian defenders repelled an attack on Pytomnyk (1). Russians used MLRS to lay mines in Verkhnii and Staryi Saltiv.
Russians are attempting to expand their area of control south and west in the Izyum area. Ukrainians repelled attacks on Karnaukhivka (2), Virnopillya (3), Nova Dmytrivka (4), Dibrovne (5), and Dolyna (6). Russians heavily shelled the forested area around Mazanivka (A).
Beyond the fun explosions and fires at the end of the day, not much happened today, so I will just post a few images as my "daily update". I have little to say. Russia failed every single attack and murdered a bunch of civilians. Otherwise, not much happened.
Kharkiv and Izyum areas. Just shelling, missiles, rockets, and murdering civilains.
Siversk and Bakhmut areas: Russian attacks all failed.
