Sari Beth Rosenberg: I had not heard of George Dawson. I'm excited to learn about him but I'm not happy about WHY I'm hearing about him. Now I want to read his book & I'm sure all the kids at his school want to read it now, too.

Sari Beth Rosenberg: I feel bad for the teachers in this schools who didn't want to become the center of attn in these culture wars. It's really a students' rights issue--that needs to be emphasized.

Sari Beth Rosenberg: I avoid watching Fox "News," especially in the evenings when it's anything but news. I saw a mash-up of Fox commentators talking about the teacher shortage & then saying horrid things about teachers (con't)

Sari Beth: (con't) calling them groomers & pedophiles & saying they're teaching CRT. I barely have time to get through my lessons, let alone try to indoctrinate my students. We need the media to TALK TO TEACHERS & humanize them. You do a good job of this, Rick.

Sari Beth Rosenberg: Rick, we spoke a lot during the pandemic about virtual learning & where it's going. Now there's talk of virtual strike breakers--that's something I'd never considered. I don't like the idea of virtual strike breaking at all.

Sari Beth Rosenberg: There's a lack of education around transgender people. What's scary is that schools are making it impossible for teachers to create an environment where students can learn about transgender people.

Sari Beth Rosenberg: This is not the world we want to leave to our kids, & it's not the world our kids deserve to inherit. Make sure you vote in November. Pack our school boards with people who genuinely care about our kids.
