So in effect a white person earning $75k or less but that will inherit a million dollars will get student loans forgiven. But an #ados Black making $130k helping family gets 0.
nytimes.com/2022/08/24/us/…
In addition this is likely scaled between $75k and $125k. Literally punishing people for making an amount that might be $30k more after taxes. Taking away substantial sums of the forgiveness.
Also 2021 taxes will kick a lot of people that reported increased income from coronavirus aid either off receiving forgiveness or higher on the income scale.
If this was serious it would look at parents and grandparents wealth. And also average 10 years of income as the metric. Lastly it would focus on #ados Black American families.
Even amongst those small number of Blacks that went to college the default rate was 32 percent in 2017. This does nothing to fix their credit. Nor is it clear if it applies if the debt has been moved to a secondary credit collection agency. Image
So we cut out #ados Blacks that may have dug themselves out and into a income right above $125k. And are helping family as gov’t. Then we see depreciated impact on those Blacks in most dire need that have defaulted.
I’ll point out another thing. This is a windfall for white married couples. Their threshold is $250k but 1 person can earn $175k and the other $50k and they both get the full debt relief. The white marriage rate is much higher than Black Americans. Another way it will tilt white.
It’s effectively a white wealth student debt relief mask. Image
If we look at the recent public service loan forgiveness for guidance you couldn’t access it until you were out of default. Which could take thousands of dollars the borrower doesn’t have in some cases. Image

Dan Pena wishes poor people Merry Christmas. We should hit rich folks with tomatoes 🍅 and hot eggs 🍳 given how they have taken all the wealth.
“Merry Christmas to you too. And all you poor f#*kers out there. We’re gonna show that’s pan down that’s what Christmas is suppose to look like you poor f#*ks. And if it doesn’t look like this there’s about 300 presents here if sumthin ain’t right if your Christmas doesn’t look like this…” Dan Pena

They are trying to tell us anything. Biden has stepped down weeks before the election and handed us a full mess. Everyone knew he was mentally unfit well before today.
So now we are forced to vote for whoever the DNC gives us or end up with Trump. Remember we as liberals rejected Kamala Harris during the 2019 primaries. She was finishing near last.

It is selfish craze this has happened way.
Look for yourself. So now a @KamalaHarris that was polling at near no support in Democratic Party primaries is the nominee weeks before the election? Image

I don’t think people much cared about this #investfest. It came and went. Not sure if it’s even worth a show gauging the interest. Boy didn’t they try to push this craze? They took all the old #decadentveil Black celebrities from 2000 they could find to try to sell these $300 tickets on the financial golden brick road to nowhere. 🤫😆 Black folks generally could care less is the after message. 🤫🤷🏿‍♂️👀🇺🇸🙋🏿‍♂️

In my view the #investfest was a conference for young Boomers of 1987 working jobs with pensions and buying $75k homes. Sold off to millennials in 2023 working gig jobs and living the consequences of believing in Nixonian Black economics as uplift for 40 years too long. A conference created by people who don’t really understand race or wealth in America. 🙋🏿‍♂️🤫 @JTPocketWatcher @CommonSenseEli in my view the money is in selling classes to the aspirational not investing in assets. Tell them give it away for near free if it isn’t. And make money when the participant does. 🤷🏿‍♂️

It makes little to no sense to take part in an event to pitch reparations when it is built on financial bootstrap talk. And they are charging $300 for tickets and have the audacity to have $1800 vip tickets. These people are selling high priced financial classes and she’s on stage in my view ignorantly binding their expensive financial class product with reparations.

The fact that #Uber launched 1 month after @BarackObama was sworn into office. And that #jayz & @Beyonce among others were invited to invest early so they could be used to normalize it to Black folks and others are the cost of praising the #decadentveil. vidrise.com/v/ojmh1/
Just awful. But someone beyond POOR will read this and praise it through a view of their own super capitalist potential. 🤷🏿‍♂️ The #decadentveil has done their job. “Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Ashton Kutcher and more reportedly set to make a killing as Uber goes public”
nme.com/news/beyonce-a…
🤫🤷🏿‍♂️ @Uber @BarackObama both launch in early 2009.

No group in Black politics suffered more under the points made against the Biden administration in federal court today regarding social media than #ados.
