Polynomial is defined as the DeFi Derivatives Powerhouse.

The team is developing 2 different products:

-Polynomial Earn Vaults (that are using automated option selling strategies)

-an options aggregator (buy the options you want at the best price)

/4 Polynomial vaults are using synths for their strategies.

Polynomial Earn will be the first ever option vaults to implement partial collateralization.

Thanks to this, vaults will be able to generate bigger profits for vault depositors without taking higher risks.

/5 There are 3 vaults on Polynomial at this moment:

- Ethereum vault - use an automated call selling strategy

- USD vault - use an automated put selling strategy

- Gamma Vault - tries to profit from short-term volatility(similar to Dopex's Atlantic Straddles👇 )

Aelin is a permissionless multi-chain protocol for capital raises and OTC deals.

Most teams of popular projects are selling the project tokens to VCs at very low prices in order to raise capital.

Aelin is coming up with a better solution.

How does it work?

/6 A sponsor creates a pool where anyone can deposit their funds.

After enough funds are raised, the sponsor negotiates a deal with a project using the pool funds.

If the investors are satisfied with the deal, they are paying a fee to both the sponsor and the protocol.

/7 After the vesting cliff ends(if there's one), the investors get the deal tokens.

This model is interesting because it insures that there will be sponsors interested in negotiating a deal thanks to the fee collected.

Recently, the team also launched "NFT Gated Pools".

/8 These pools allow only the owners of NFTs from a certain collection to deposit funds.

This feature opens up a lot of possibilities. It also brings a new utility to some NFTs.

Aelin isn't very popular right now, but I'm excited to see how it will progress.

/10 e.g. Suppose that you are bullish on Optimism and think that its TVL will be more than $1b TVL in November.

There's a pool that allows you to deposit sUSD and bet on this!

If you're right, you'll earn the collateral of those who bet that Optimism TVL will not be >$1b.

/11 On the other hand, Overtime Markets is a positional market for popular sporting events.

e.g. Using this product you can bet on the outcome of a football match with no KYC and no user registration.

If you're right, you'll earn the collateral of those who bet against you.

Synthetix Ecosystem doesn't stop to amaze me.

Even if most of the protocols presented in this 🧵 aren't popular now, they might play an important role in the next bull market.
