Oh, sorry. I forget people might not have been paying attention. The splitter strategy was a club plan to run 16 GOP candidates in '16 so that Jeb could get nomination with 15-20% of primary vote.

Each candidate would drop, endorse Jeb, & give delegates in a specific sequence.
During the 2014 RNC club winter rules meeting, to determine the election year primary sequence and winner take all (WTA) or proportional delegate distribution by state, the map was outlined. Florida changed primary dates and shifted to WTA to facilitate a Rubio/Jeb ticket split.
The candidates were recruited, financed and eventually announced in the predetermined sequence, entering the race in 2015. However, Trump waited til they were all in, then entered the race as #17. This blew up the RNC club plan. DJT was not expected. The club was furious.

Ever tried to convince a battered spouse to exit the cycle of an abusive relationship? Same principle applies to battered conservative voters.

It's psychologically easier to keep denying the abuse and keep trying to make a better sandwich.
But that doesn't mean you give up.... Nor should you let the understandable resistance diminish your kind resolve.

Eventually, frustration will collapse the psyche of the abused, and there needs to be a support mechanism... Some place where they can turn.

The background $$$ in the GOPe club exploit financial vulnerabilities, to control new-era media influencers.

Glenn Beck nears bankruptcy, $$ opportunity.
Alex Jones, lawsuit, same thing. $$ opportunity
Breitbart '14 same thing, Mercer $$$ (Cruz)
Parler, same thing, Mercer $$$
WFB, '15 same thing, Paul Singer $$$ (Rubio)

The billionaires look for opportunities, the vulnerable media pundits get purchased. Their allegiance goes where directed. It's all about the $$$
Right now, the (USA last crowd), hedge funds and multinational bankers, are pouring money into Ron DeSantis and have purchased many, including Ben Shapiro, Glenn Beck and now Alex Jones.

The bankers are doing what they do in politics, manage the candidates, purchase outcomes.
