I've never been a huge Who fan, by any means. But I like several of their songs, this one probably most of all.

IMO, Pete Townsend was a much more refined and impressive guitarist in 2007 than in the 1970s. Just sayin'.

Another lead guitarist, somewhat underrated imo, who refined his craft as he got older is Lindsey Buckingham. This is him at his iconoclastic finger-picking best:

I always hated Michael McDonald. The Doobie Brothers were a great guitar-driven rock band until he came along and ruined them. I hope he and his crappy piano playing rot in rock and roll hell. 😏

Now, one of my top 3 favorite guitarists of all time -- from one of my top 3 favorite bands of all time -- is Johnny Hickman. The guy just has a "feel" for the instrument that I have always aspired to.
