4/4 wins for the gunners, top of the league- they’re flying!

Great character, desire and courage to comeback to win the game! First time they’ve trailed in a game this season.

Man City 👕

Undefeated this season. Beat Palace 4-2 last time out coming from 2 down, again!

Unlucky to concede once, let alone twice. They had a xGC of 0.09 🤯

13 goals in 4 games!

Brighton 🔵⚪️

Undefeated this season! Another win in #GW4 with another clean sheet! That’s 3/4 they’ve kept the opposition out!

Fulham, Leicester & Bournemouth in their next 3 games.

A hat-rick in #GW4 vs Crystal Palace to inspire a Man City comeback! The boy is deadly in front of goal.

He racked up an xG of 1.67 and had the most shots (7- which were all inside the box)

After the opening 4 games of this season Erling Haaland has 41 FPL points despite touching the ball only 93 times.

He's on 1 FPL point for every 2.27 touches of a football 🤯

However, we all know of a certain game we’ve come to love and hate over the years. “Pep Roulette”

Guardiola has openly said that Haaland will be rotated…

The £13m man blanked in a 9-0 home win against Bournemouth. Yes, 18 goal contributions and not involved in a single one.

Before the game, the odds on that happening was 1 in 2,367,596.728

Don’t fret like the 254,588 #FPL managers that have taken him out of their teams.

Salah racked up the 2nd best xGi (1.21) behind Bobby Firmino.

Mo had 2 big chances and uncharacteristically misses them both!

Liverpool face Newcastle (H) next.
50% chance to score anytime!

Salah has a decent record vs Newcastle in previous meetings. 8 goal involvements in 11 games.

Howe’s unique Newcastle side will be a tough test for Liverpool but they’ll gain a huge amount of confidence from the 9-0 drubbing of Bournemouth.

Salah was hugely unlucky to blank…

…last time out.

If you were one of those that captained Salah in #GW4 will you keep the faith with the Egyptian in hope he returns the favour in #GW5?

Gabriel Jesus 🇧🇷

Frustratingly a blank in #GW4 for Jesus but on the eye he was very influential in Arsenal’s attack- like he has been since he joined in the summer!

Despite going behind and Nketiah coming on, Jesus remained on the pitch and managed to help Arsenal comeback…

…to win 2-1 vs Fulham.

Jesus still managed 4 shots inside the box which proves he’s still getting into those positions to score but this time out none of them were recorded as big chances.

Another home game for Arsenal next as they face Aston Villa in #GW5

I’m bullish on Jesus as a captaincy option this week because of the form Arsenal are in and the lack of form Villa are in!

Arsenal have won every game they’ve played. Villa have won just once- at home to Everton. They’ve lost to Bournemouth/Palace/West Ham.

The gunners are…

…a step above those sides that they’ve already lost to.

Pressure on Gerrard is increasing.

Will Jesus add to his problems during the week?

He’s been given a 45% chance to score anytime.

Will you have the armband on the Brazilian to do so?

Differential Captaincy options:

Harry Kane 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The England captain netted twice in their 0-2 win away to Forest and also had a penalty saved.

A premium differential?

Spurs play a London Derby, West Ham (A). A tough fixture considering Salah and Haaland both play home games.

However, Spurs are in fine form, as is Kane with 4 goals in 4 games.

West Ham have only just got their first win, away to Villa.

This is an ideal example of going “form over fixture” for a captaincy.

However, only 45% chance of a goal anytime for Kane.

Are you going to back Kane’s form and give him the armband in #GW5?

Raheem Sterling 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

A player who featured as a differential captain in my #GW4 thread, returns!

I said he could rival the other premium options for captaincy and he did just that.

2 goals ⚽️ 3 bonus points🤩

15 points! 🧨

At 5.8% ownership he can be another great differential.

Sterling faces Southampton who have conceded 8 goals (16th in league table for GC)

Last season, Chelsea thumped Southampton 0-6 in the same fixture at St Mary’s.

What’s not to love about this pick? Sterling had the form, Sterling has the fixture.

Will you be taking my advice from last week into this week and captaining Raheem Sterling this time round in #GW5?

My Captaincy Reccomendation:

Erling Haaland 🇳🇴

Rotation risk? Yes.

Will he start and come off early? Will he be benched and come on for a part of the game? Potentially.

Above are some of the things that’ll put us managers off from captaining the Norwegian.

Here’s what we do know:

Form player, hat-trick in #GW4!

Highest xGi in the league (6.2)

Currently averaging 1 #FPL every 2.27 touches- extraordinary!

71% chance of a goal anytime.

Nott’m Forest have a xGC of 6.3. Like Kane, I expect Haaland to find great success.

From what we know, they’re the reasons I’d pick Haaland as captain this gameweek.

Even if his xMins are a risk, he could still do some serious damage to Forest and to those who don’t own/captain him!

A small green arrow from 18th to 13th in Division 4. A different captain and it could’ve been a different story!

Looking forward to try and gain back to back green arrows and beat my highest position of 8th in the league.

I think next week’s captaincy is a big call throughout the league.

I’m currently on Haaland but am tempted to take a calculated risk and captain Jesus.

However I could play safe and go with Salah? 🤷🏻‍♂️
