I'm with #ItWasAScam because in order to accept the Starmerite narrative on antisemitism you have to believe that antisemitism no longer means "hatred, hostility, or prejudice to Jews for being Jews" but "criticising a particular country or person in a particular way"...

a formulation which is going to trap members of Jewish Voice for Labour, an entirely Jewish group, 35 times more than regular Labour members who are overwhelmingly non-Jewish.

It couldn't be more of a scam if it claimed to be a Nigerian prince wanting to give you...

a million pounds, a 12-inch penis, and hundreds of hot ladies in your area.

It requires taking at face value that Jews who oppose apartheid and war crimes are Asajews, Fake Jews, Un-Jews, Kapos, and self-haters.

It requires believing Jews must be loyal to a foreign country...

yet saying that Jews ARE loyal to that country is antisemitic.

It requires saying that anti-religious secularists know more about Judaism than the majority of Rabbis who ever lived, and that the majority of Jews pre-WW2 were equally ignorant of their own faith.

It requires saying that non-Jews like Luke Akehurst and Euan Philipps have a right to explain Judaism to life-long practising Jews.

It requires saying people who criticize support for Holocaust deniers are more of problem than people who support Holocaust deniers.

It requires creating a hierarcy of racism, brushing anti-Black and Islamophobic racism under the carpet, and pretending White Middle-Class Boomers are the most oppressed people in Britain today.

It requires calling racists and Nazi fanciers anti-racists.

It requires smearing thousands of people who have never even been formally accused of antisemitism with antisemitism.

It requires open disdain for thousands of years of Jewish tradition in preference for one fabricated from the ashes of another people.

It requires accepting as valid all the antisemitic tropes about Jews.

It requires you trusting anonymous people about "lived experiences" when any request for evidence or alternative lived experiences were dismissed out of hand.

Whether or not Labour ever had a problem with actual antisemitism is irrelevant. Not even the people who came with genuine claims to the EHRC appear to care. The idea that a utopian tolerant Britain was threatened by a tidal wave of racism which was an existential threat to Jews

until the hero Boris came along and saved the day and now all Jews can breathe safely in their beds again back in the egalitarian non-racist country and party they once knew is a myth every bit as credible as the myth that G-d chose Britain and Jesus went to Glastonbury.

And of course it comes with accepting a load of other cobblers. That Corbyn and supporters are responsible for every bit of antisemitism that happens anywhere, that Palestinians are the real racists, an "anti-imperialism" that just happens to support the Western Empire...

in Syria, Ukraine, and elsewhere, that Starmer is an anti-racist hero who, having purged Labour from the scourge of antisemitism has turned it into a trusted, electable party of government and anyone who disagrees is a "cheerleader for losers", that the only racism which...

still exists in the UK is racism against cis White male boomers like Baddiel, that trans people are coming for your genitals, that teaching kids about the racism of Churchill and the slave traders is "rewriting history", demanding a humane standard of living is "childish"...

that standing up for your rights, against injustice, and against the destruction of the planet wreaked by the super-rich whose every whim must be indulged by the poorest is somehow bad, and that totalitarian police states are good if the police wear the right uniforms.

In other words, the "anti-antisemitism" campaign against Corbyn and the Left was a package deal: Nothing to do with Jews, everything to do with asserting the primacy of right-wing capitalist ideology and practice.
