Immediately after the devastating earthquake in the #Paktika province in eastern #Afghanistan on June 22, @WAWHumanRights launched an emergency fundraiser to assist those impacted by the disaster. š§µā¬ļø
439 of our amazing individual supporters, like you, contributed & helped us raise $46,239 to assist in relief effort. Additionally, foundations such as @togetherrising and @UJAfedNY helped WAW get to $90,000 in total funds to assist in critical emergency earthquake relief effort.

WAW got to work with our local partner @ASEELApp to distribute the first round of 300 emergency packages containing food, hygiene products, tents, and blankets. 300 families and 3,200 individuals benefited from this initial distribution in the Geyan district of #Paktika
