not gonna lie, i love it when the misogyny is this pure
On the "indoctrination" of young people:
"And who is facilitating all of this? In virtually every case, a woman. Ninety-two percent of kindergarten teachers are women, 75 percent of all teachers are women and 85 percent of librarians are women."
Female teachers are also to blame for the pandemic, apparently:
"They demanded—because of their hypochondria and an apparent inability to apply reason to COVID-19 risk—that schools be closed for nearly two years."
But don't forget lady doctors!
"Women physicians and health care workers are at the vanguard of ruining young people’s lives at children’s hospitals that push giving young people puberty-blocking hormones and opposite-gender hormones"
The closing salvo, tho, is just *chefs kiss*
"And women are disproportionately supportive of cancel culture, the greatest threat to free speech in American history."
Put that uncut sexism RIGHT INTO MY VEINS PLSE
"Are you going to *prove* that women aren't the worst or are you just gonna laugh at this sad old man??"
South Carolina pediatric gynecologist, Dr. Kristl Tomlin, testified about a 12 year-old who was raped & impregnated by her mother's 44 year-old boyfriend.
The political director of Texas' largest anti-abortion group was arrested for solicitation of a minor - and Texas Right to Life *really* doesn't want people to know jessica.substack.com/p/anti-choice-…
They're scrubbing their website of any mention of Luke Bowen - taking his name off press releases and deleting whole pages where he was featured (including one where he ran a training for college students)
A spokesperson from Texas Right to Life says that Bowen's employment was terminated on Aug. 3 (the same day he was charged) and that he was never involved in their "Team Life Camp" for teenagers.
Yesterday, at least two news outlets that should know better reported that a Louisiana woman is being forced to carry a "headless" fetus to term.
That language isn't just inaccurate, it's pretty fucked up.
The woman who came forward is pregnant with a fetus that has acrania. She told a reporter that her fetus is missing part of its head and skull - not that it's "headless."
I get wanting to relay how horrific these laws are, but the reality is bad enough.
Reporters writing about abortion need to remember there are real people behind these stories. There's no reason to use that kind of language about a person's already-traumatic pregnancy. Imagine her reading that headline.
When WaPo's factchecker sowed doubts about a 10 yr-old girl who had been raped & impregnated, he said it was in part because no child service officials had heard of the case.
"Franklin County Children Services responded to Kessler’s outreach promptly, and informed Kessler that their agency could not comment on specific cases, because this information is treated as confidential under Ohio law."
This isn't just about sloppy reporting, tho, but bias: The girl's doctor was on the record, but Kessler wanted law enforcement to verify the story.
Why? To him, the word of a woman *in the room* wasn't credible.
Abortion is legal in Indiana, but they're attacking this doctor anyway. Investigating her, calling her an 'activist', and putting her face on Fox News (knowing it makes her a target).
Conservatives are going to do this with any abortion provider - but especially those who make 'pro-lifers' look bad by shining a light on the most horrific cases
What they're doing right now is issuing a warning: Don't raise the alarm on raped 10 year olds & don't help those who need it. Because if you do, we'll ruin your life
