The Baan Stambh (Arrow Pillar) is located within the premises of the mandir. It is believed to be constructed in somewhere the sixth century. It tells us that there is no piece of land from here to south pole.
From this point at the Somnath Mandir to the #SouthPole in Antarctica there is no land mass, if one travels through the sea.
Did the mandir construct keeping this in mind??
The nearest land towards South Pole is about 9936 KM away, which is written in Sanskrit shloka on the pole. That means its accurately and perfectly described.
Now we have modern tools available to confirmed that there is no piece of land in this path. But this line was written appx.1500 yrs ago when there was neither google map nor any advanced geo mapping devices, satellites or drones.
This means that our ancestors knows the fact that the earth is round and having a South Pole and #NorthPole
But how could they have got the Earth's Ariel View without drone or satelliteat that time?
There are many questions which will come in our mind.
Well we can only say that, its a masterpiece created by our ancestors who were way ahead of times and technology.
They were masters in mathematics, science, astronomy & geography🙌 #LongThread #DekhoApnaDesh
