I'm looking forward to seeing the first Ep tonight. I only have expectations of it being visually beautiful. I'm hopeful it will craft an interesting tale with all new characters to love, and episodes to watch every Xmas for the next 20+ years!😁

First Ep down.
Really really enjoyed. The teens weren't happy with some of the mullets & one character's casting (how can they turn into the older version?) also a non kingly looking king & modern haircut also bugged them- didn't bother me.
@WetaWorkshop killed it as usual❤️

My one concern was a lack of musical themes but I'm hoping @bearmccreary will develop those as we go.
Lot of work in this-& I presume the next Ep-to set up this whole world again, but 20yra later when expectations for representation demand more than a world set in white Europe.

Great acting by a really good cast that I already care about. Looking forward to seeing what some of the characters evolve into.
The costumes. The sets. The scenery. The photography. And that sword work by Galadriel...
