What actually happened was a violent man was verbally abusive to a lesbian couple. A ‘trans man’ intervened, and the violent man punched the ‘trans man’, which resulted in her death. It’s men’s violence against women that caused this death.
Further, the initial altercation may have been lesbophobic in nature, so some of the killer’s motivation could have been lesbophobia or homophobia. Again, this translates into fatal violence in certain male perpetrators. It’s a tragedy
This is absolutely nothing to do with the bravery shown by lesbians from @GetTheLOutUK at #CardiffPride, protesting against the homophobia and lesbophobia of the #CottonCeiling, and all forms of male violence against women (lesbians in particular).
Women are vulnerable to mens’ increased size, muscular power, and aggression; and our bodies don’t have such thick skulls and strong bones as men. We are far more damaged by men’s violence, than other men are. Pretending to be men won’t change this fact. Come home, sisters.
We are also reminded that men’s lives are permanently changed, and lost, by male violence, every day. Just one punch can kill or permanently disable. Talk to your sons. Teach them to deescalate tensions.
