More vicious ableism from none other than Brian Davison, “who went to Harvard with Obama.” This is what he got from an Ivy League degree. He’s now trying to shame me for being neurodivergent. This is how ableists try to minimize us. He didn’t succeed.
I talk about being disabled and my diagnoses to educate m, not to self-victimize. This man however, thinks he’s been victimized for being called out for publicly laughing at an autistic child, then continuing to justify his disgusting behavior for which he has no remorse. #LOSER
In the disability rights movement, we do publicly talk about our diagnoses. We feel no shame. We talk about them to educate. Until 3 years ago, I kept mine secret, because I knew people like Brian Davison would mock them and think less of me for it. I no longer feel that way
This was the guy who called kids like me a “retard” when I couldn’t read until 4th grade. He’s not become an ounce less ignorant as an adult. People like him bullied me relentlessly as a child. This is him in WaPo comments section still talking about the autistic child he mocked

@FreeThatData to me this morning on Twitter, if there’s anyone left with a disabled child in FCPS who thinks this guy gives a rat’s furry behind about disabled people. This is how he talks to someone with disabilities and about my children who are disabled. ImageImageImageImage
And more vicious ableism from @FreeThatData. Thanks for the memories and demonstrable proof this morning Brian. What an easy mark you are. Brian Davison thinks those of us w/autistic and ND kids need to hide them in the house to protect them from being bullied by adults like him ImageImageImageImage
Just when I thought I’d chosen and posted Brian Davison’s @FreeThatData greatest ableist hits, he throws his greatest hit at me yet. This was in response to a tweet where I said my autistic/ADHD kids are awesome people. Perfect examples of the vicious ableism of this lot Image

The dirty little secret of the school choice movement is they are fighting for states to fund private schools that aren’t compliant w/federal anti-discrimination laws. Private schools aren’t beholden to IDEA or ADA. They want the choice to discriminate against disabled kids.
Since you misread my tweet, here it is again for you. I don’t attack people for reading comprehension issues.
The school choice movement & meritocracy rhetoric began just after the Brown v Board decision in 1954. Both movements are populated by many idealists who’ve been conned, but the underpinnings are segregationist. These are sanitized euphemisms for reinstating segregation

This is a whole lot of blah blah blah and will do nothing to mitigate the teacher shortage. He was in Fairfax County yesterday trashing our schools to a crowd of sycophants. A rally at 3pm on a weekday when most parents are either at work, getting their kids off the bus.
I might die from shock if when blasting FCPS he ever brings up the damning JLARC report from last year on FCPS special Ed, or god forbid he mention restraint and seclusion or abuse cases of special Ed kids for which actual multiple counts of assault got a sweet plea deal in June
Nope, not only has he done NOTHING for high or low support needs disabled children other than trampling on the ADA every chance he gets, now he thinks “voters should decide” whether or not school board candidates can bully disabled kids.

Since I know @HarryJ4Justice reads my page and to the @FairfaxGOP, about the slanderous FB post you all have left up for weeks..I’m weighing in. I’m not sure if the person who runs the Twitter is affiliated or has any power over the Fairfax Republicans FB page…
The entire FB post is desperate & preposterous. Harry publicly posted tweets of mine in a convo w/@AsraNomani clearly illustrating how much I dislike Stacy, but now suddenly we’re in league? It’s silly and makes no sense. Which is it Harry? Do I dislike her or am I working w/her?
My main arena of activism is disability rights. Anyone can Google me and see that quite clearly. I fight for autistic children because I have two of them.

Fairfax County Schools voted in a superintendent last night and touted her being awarded by American Assn of superintendents (AASA) as 1 of her big achievements. This org is vociferously opposed to lethal restraint and seclusion bans.
They’ve been on the Hill lobbying against Keeping All Students Safe Act, (KASSA) which bans restraint abuse & seclusion torture. In @Northshore_Supt school district, 100% of kids being subjected to this barbarity are high support needs disabled kids segregated into Sped ghettoes
Fairfax Cty signed on to consent decree in federal court banning seclusion, but parents have been telling me about “the support rooms,” which is seclusion by a new name. They’ve taken doors off cells, but still putting kids in them. Doors got out of seclusion torture; kids don’t

As a mom with an autistic son in Fairfax County Schools, I’m extremely concerned that one of the finalist for school super is @Northshore_Supt change.org/p/northshore-s…
I’m also an activist for neurodivergent rights and just settled a federal lawsuit with FCPS over restraint and seclusion. Yet I looked up @Northshore_Supt district and the first thing returned in my search are parents like me calling for an end to lethal restraints and seclusion
This pick is going back, NOT forward. @RachnaHeizer @KarlFrischFCPS @AbrarOmeish when our own restraint & seclusion data shows over 40% of these aversives being done to Black kids, when they’re only 10% of our district, now our answer is to hire from a non-diverse district?
